Default 30-Day "Wake-Up Productive" Trial Record & Accountability

NOTE: I recognize that this post is a little selfish in its message. I hope that this may provide value to you in the form of learning how to hold oneself accountable for the actions and course one takes in his journeys.

I copied this from my original post on a different forum. I seek as much accountability as possible in this respect (Steve's adage, "Kill the cockroach with the rocket launcher," comes into mind from one of his "33 Rules to Boost Your Productivity" articles. Here it goes.

Okay, I've become pretty successful in the dating game as of late. I'd always go out and approach any woman I'd see in the "field." Whether it be in the grocery store, the club, or in my areas of academic growth and achievement, I'd approach them. Now, I have a pretty quality life with women. Not to say I don't have minor anxiety bubble up every now and then when the hottest of the hot shows up, but I walk out into any situation with supreme confidence now.

My current sticking point? Proper & consistent alone time with a girl. Whenever I do have her alone. I'm good & things escalate to the physical point of sex. But I don't have it ingrained in my habits to unconsciously perform this.

That's my current sticking point for women. Now to the Build the Attractive Lifestyle part. I have some pretty grandiose goals to achieve by September 1, 2013, but it definitely requires a pretty significant change in habits over the longterm...especially those in productivity. My goals include:

Drive a Ferrari 458 Italia
Own a 14,000 feet squared home
with a "Think Tank" forest in one of the pretty big rooms
Have my net worth of $2,000,000 in my Bank of America account + assets and
Own the steady stream of emotionally mature, super sexy female sex buddies, friends and partners as well as
have (and give to) the stream/reference base/quality social network of emotionally mature, awesome friends
Have "5"s on the AP English Literature & AP World History exams
Have a high-end 5.5+ rated laptop for Windows (or the Apple in memory of Steve Jobs)

The thing is, how would I act if I had all these things? What would I intuitively and deeply know and appreciate entirely? In other words as well, what does my knowledge base constitute? What habits would unconsciously perform? What clubs and associations would I partake in? What do I do in my free time? Who do I spend time with? How would I act/dress/keep my room? How do I handle myself in the presence of other women? How do I handle charity? Friends? Family?

There are things I need to address completely and fully, and one of these things I need to address is the morning success ritual. Here are the guidelines and the conditions and structures.

I need to incorporate something physical, emotional, and logical into what's called a Morning Success Ritual to start my day. That involves:

Proper: Hygiene, Nutrition, Exercise (Aerobic, Anaerobic, Flexibility)
Mental & Emotional Centering (Meditation)
Learning Something in My Industry (Academics for now)

So here's what I'm going to do, from here until November 24th (excluding November 11th, my birthday), I:

1. Wake Up @5:30A on days I commute to school with my father, @6:50A on days where my mother or I commute myself to the school.

2. Drink a half a liter of water filled up the night before in my bedside waterbottle

3. Brush, Floss, and Rinse Teeth with Mouthwash

4. Shower, Shave, Acne Cleanser, Ears Cleaned, Dressed with clothes laid out the night before, Hair Dried & Styled

5. Meditate on the chair for five minutes with focus on breathing.

6. Take a minute to lay out books & mindmaps for reading, get into state, and spend the next thirty minutes reading...coffee is allowed along with a glass of "Bolthouse: Green Goodness" smoothie mix for study.

7. Eat a proper breakfast, choosing from a boal of oatmeal (microwaved probably), 4-eggs (fried or scrambled), two waffles, a cup of yogurt, Raisin Bran, etc. chosen for the week. I may eat more, but the general guideline's laid out.

8. Gather things & head out

Accountability:

I'll post on here every day by 8:00PM that same night involving an account of what happened, what could be better, what I did right, and where I can streamline the habit. I feel that as the days progress, I can establish enough momentum that this practically moves on its own. In addition, I'm posting this on another blog @ stevepavlina.com, and I'll simply copy the accounts between each. Let's see what happens.

I'll also create a Google Calendar for all to See, & I'll create a big "X" as an all day event for each day that I've completed my task. This will allow me to measure my results and the number of. successful repetitions of this Morning Success Ritual. You can see my calendar and my current progress here.

I'm going to set up the day for tomorrow, but then I'll come back tomorrow & I'll probably obsessively type & read over this to constantly improve my private & public figure, avatar, and performance. The way you guys see me now is incredibly different to that of the way you'll see me in the future. I'll have changed.

Let's make this work! Also, if you guys have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them!

Checklist for each day:

1. Perform the ritual for the morning
2. Post the days account and overall reports on my first forum & stevepavlina.com
3. Post the success of the day on Facebook! Keep it going with the calendar being public.
4. Reaffirm visualizations and preparations for change (how can I make things better?)

Thanks for reading!

The alarm clock flashed @ 6:20...thirty minutes before I had awaken. I had a fantastic dream where the dream guy penetrates the girl before him in her father's house in a club room with four beds on each wall. Shortly after beginning, the father (an alpha, combative dude I locked eyes with at the Family Fare) forces the door open & stares at us with his mouth open and in a frown. "UuuuhhhrrRAWWG." After chasing him down to explain (this was a dream...not my usual course of action) where I later woke up.

After realizing that I woke up early, I figured that I'd finish the rest my night's sleep until 6:50...I woke up at 7:20 with thirty minutes to go. So I achieved everything up to the point of meditation. I did not complete my meditation. I did not complete my thirty minutes of academic or personal study. Let's figure out what I can do to remedy the situation. My plan:

If I awake early, I get up if there's less than 90 minutes before the intended time.
I lay out my books for study the night before.

Let's see how I can achieve this goal of completing my Morning Success Ritual for thirty days straight

Yeahhh! I'm starting to get better at this, but I've still got a bit to go before I truly lift the wheels from the ground.

Positives:

Woke an hour before leave time (had to leave @8:00A, so I woke up @7:00A)
Hygiene complete @7:30A + 5 min meditation
30 minutes of study incorporated into car ride

Negatives:

I did not wake up at the exact same time as originally intended (6:50A)
30 mins of study not right after meditation.

I'll fix these by tomorrow, but this is definitely an "X" for the day

What do you think?

Grrr!:/

Woke up @7:00AM (ten minutes later than intended)
Shower + Eating lasted for forty minutes (7:40AM to start meditation)
Lied on my bed for five minutes, clearing my mind (good)
But fifteen minutes was not enough for a proper preparation, activation, and closing of any learning session (Paul Scheele of Learning Strategies Corporation in Minneapolis recommends thirty minutes per session in his book Photoreading), so I figured I'd learn in the car during the thirty minute commute as a passenger...but that didn't happen due to my focus on coffee that I could not carry with me into the building:/

Notes to keep in mind to make this change happen:

Always always ALWAYS go to bed with nine hours of sleep to go...sleep is delicious for the body
Streamline streamline streamline.
Set visual triggers to guide thinking.
Use Tony Robbin's NAC (Pain Association w/ NOT doing what I need to do, and Pleasure Association with what I DO need to do)

Day 3: Today went GREAT

I fell asleep at 6:00PM yesterday and woke up at 2:00AM...probably need a schedule more aligned with the world I associate with now (where everyone passes out at 10:00PM and wakes up at 6:00AM).

Gonna make this work

But I didn't post by 8:00PM:/ I'll change that.
