Default In survival mode but starting growth mode.

I have been in survival mode and since I don't like it I have made the effort such as coming here. And I have made efforts to change. So I am just starting growth mode. But that is only the tip of the iceberg you could say.

Default Growing slowly

Shamou, you always come up with questions that make me think. Thanks for another great discussion.

I have been in a growth period for a long time. A lot of that growth has been painful. I'm now in a place where I'm still growing, but choosing to grow slowly. Perhaps you might say that I'm growing and floating.

Life is wonderful. Sure, I have my moments - but life really is amazing. I think what has changed the most over the last year is my perspective on things.

While I am very happy with my life these days, there are things I still want to accomplish. There are always personal growth areas to work on for me. I still need to work on the website - and I do make updates from time to time. That's a vision that will take more time to come to fruition - but I'm okay with that.

I'm enjoying the feeling of contentment and yet still feel the need to grow - although because I am content, and not struggling, I don't feel a burning need for quantum growth like I did last year.

My next level of holosync is on the way and I'm looking forward to what that will bring.

Am I making any sense? I think there are times in our lives when we need to slow the growth a little and enjoy what we have accomplished. You might call that floating. I prefer to think of it as slow, steady growth. Either way, life is certainly good.

My secret? Learning from my mistakes more than anything. Being willing to grow spiritually. Investing in my spiritual growth. Listening constantly to books on CD. Doing my holosync daily, doing yoga on a regular basis, remaining conscious, and letting go of my need to control everything, but rather letting whatever happens be okay. (those of you who listen to Bill Harris have heard that before.)

Doesn't seem that difficult - makes me wonder why I waited!

Very nice sentiment...

According to T. Robbins, there are six human needs:

1. Certainty... we must feel reasonably secure...

2. Uncertainty... if we have complete certainty, life would be extremely boring...

3. Significance... the feeling that we unique and are someone who does matters...

4. Connection and love... someone to share life with...

5. Growth... unless we are growing... we are whithering and dying... as nothing stands still in nature...

6. Contribute... unless we contribute... we cannot feel complete... or part of society...
.

At work, I am really in all three, depending on what I am doing at the time. I am growing when I am learning more about my job, or doing something that bennifits my personal growth when I'm goofing off (ie not actually working). I am either floating or in survival mode when I am not growing at work. Being surrounded by Gov't bureaucrats does not help.

I am growing when I am at home, as I am directing my future by getting my house ready for market. However, given my timing and the American housing market right now, this could be seen as Survival. I am doing something, it just may be at the wrong time...

Absolutely postively in growth mode. My brand new website is in growth mode. My relationship with new and longtime friends is in growth mode. My relationship with God is in growth mode. My finances are in growth mode. I have a plant on my windowsill that I thought was going to die and yes, even it's in growth mode.

The reason I'm having such a growth spirt is a combination of things.

1) I've raised my spirituality and have meditated and prayed with the belief that the things I've visualized will manifest

2) I've disciplined my body and mind. For the last 60 days I've guarded my mind in order to keep the and destructive thoughts out and I reinforced constructive thoughts by surrounding myself with an environment that enables me to breed success. I've keep a diet that consist of high antioxident fruits such as pomegrante and auci berry jucies and stuffed myself with leafy greens.

3) I've connected and reconnected with people that I meet and have already known. I'm offering myself as a server to everyone by giving my friendship away without expecting anything in return. As a result I am attracting so many people and thus making my work as a motivator more effective.

4) I've worked with my goals clear in my mind. It has allowed me to see opportunities that I would not have seen if me vision was cloudy. The site, life, and professional goals are crystal clear.

5) I changed the pot that plant was in so it's roots to grow a bit. I think that helped.
