I was speaking to a life coach since I was a guest author on his blog lately and he told me that his service consists of only one to one calls. This seems to be the traditional style of guidance or coaching for most coaches but I'm aware that for other topics and areas, there are other forms of guidance. Just wondering, if you were to get guidance or coaching, which of the following would you prefer (and why)? 1) One on one calls with the coach 2) Group conference calls like a mastermind session where you get input from the entire group led by a moderator/coach 3) Online presentation program of some type (video, worksheets, etc) where you learn at your own pace and have access to email support from the coach. |

I vote online program. I don't like to have to schedule things so anything that allows me to work and learn about pace is awesome. That being said, some kind of support like e-mail as you mentioned is key. I still want direct contact with the coach. Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm going to be a guest speaker at a teleconference soon so I can give you some feedback from having direct experience if you want. I've often thought about offering coaching sessions for more than one person, but honestly I think that it's really hard to scale that way. Not saying it can't be done, but it'll take more than just drawing up a bunch of plans and making a few videos if you want people to have the same results as your one-on-one sessions.

Perhaps the options are a bit limited as well. When forced to choose between the options I would go for one on one coaching, but an online program with email coaching would complement that very well. A combination would be best, and certainly cost effective.
