There is a saying, " A little encouragement goes a long way and no one likes a critic." It is so easy to get caught up in the blame game and find fault in the things around you. If you find yourself doing this, then try to find the good in the things around you. You will find that there is a lot more good in this world than there is bad. If you focus on the good and share it with those around you, then you will find that life is a wonderful thing that is so exciting. SMILE

Yes! I agree, we tend to focus on wrong or negative things around us and end up complaining about everything or playing a blaming game so that we feel better but that does not last for so long. Great people lets focus on positive things that bring the best in us and people around us.

I really like this By doing this I guess you'd put yourself in a more active position in you interacts with other people. By that I mean you're taking charge of the interaction and by thinking "I'm going to make interaction to be a positive one" rather than the usual passive "Hopefully this interaction is good, because otherwise it won't be" Good stuff |

I am definitely a firm believer and follower in focusing on the good, because that makes you feel great and attracts an abundance of positivity into your life. That being said, one should not negate paying attention to their flaws; they should become aware of them, and then focus on improving them to the point in which they would be happy and would, in turn, better the individual's results. |

I like critics; they amuse the hell out of me. Especially if they are analytical and articulate. I don't think being critical necessarily results in a unproductive and pessimistic 'blame game'. Indeed, a lot of professors I know are very good at criticizing institutions with the intention of making what they believe is a meaningful and productive difference. It is exciting insofar as it focuses upon possibilities and what could be rather than on what is, which isn't always good. Criticism can be a good thing depending upon your perspective and situation. Having said that, I think encouragement is important too. Also, being grateful for what you have is important. But I don't think you can neatly separate these experiences into mutually exclusive categories. Envisioning an alternate possibility for the situation at hand through criticism can be encouraging and inspiring. Quote:
