I'm new to this practice of conscious goal setting and new on this forum, too.

I want to ask you if you think that something like "Workout 6 days per week (cardio/weight training)" is a goal or a method? Is your goal to go to the gym, or to be fit, slim, and strong? Could you quantify what results you hope to gain from the gym? (69kg / bigger biceps / etc).

I had an argument at work the other day. I was collating the goals of each particular sub-department in an organization, and one woman told me that they were planning on having a monthly meeting with a local government agency. I really had trouble accepting that as a valid "goal" - what, I kept on asking, do you hope to get out of the meetings? Is it enough just to sit and drink coffee with the government people once a month? Or do those meetings have to yield some result?

Say, with your house development goal, I wonder if it would be better to establish a goal like "I have a beautiful house with enough space for my family to live comfortably and for us to entertain friends" or something like that?

PS. I'm really trying hard at the moment to understand goal setting and to develop a system that works for me, I'm certainly not coming from a position of authority or expertise in this area!
