I hope this question doesn't break the terms of use. I'm going to test it just by asking anyway:

Before becoming a member of this forum, have you participated in other personal development forums? If so, how did they compare to this one? Why did you choose this forum over the other one?

This is the only forum Ive ever participated in and I have never found another forum like this. Im curious to know if one exists even though I feel like family here. Im almost sure that if I met Steve in real life we would be friends.
He is one of the few people who has had a big affect on my life, so that why Im here.

Yeah. Of course. That was how I found this one. Number one hit on Google. I was just interested in the added value I'd get from hearing about real people's experiences.

Irfan, just checked out your blog - your book Invisible People looks fascinating. Just read the Everybody Speaks Deaf Talk exerpt.

Also love the crisp, clean look of your blog.

Coolbee, thanks! For the blog, I use wordpress with the Catalyst plugin. I totally recommend it for anyone doing a blog that has a complicated structure (lots of moving parts, linked pages, internal links and so on). A very well spent $70, or whatever it was!

I have not been an active participant on any other PD forum for such a long time. And now, I do not feel the need to find one. I am already cutting down on my online time, so the less number of forums I am involved in, the better.

There was one PD forum I was a part of a while ago that I found quite exciting but then I couldn't find the link after a while and I'm not sure that it still exists, but it was very video-based. Ppl would post videos of their goals and progress. The person who started the site wanted to increase his ability to dance and over a year you could see definite improvement in his hip hop/etc, all these moves he was trying, etc. Persons would also have pages like a journal to chronicle their progress. Anyone know what I'm talking about and if it is still there?

Also have been a member of the Tony Robbins forum.

Several years ago I participated in another forum that was PD-oriented, but the overall vibe of the regular posters was totally not my cup of tea. A lot of people who were into PD in theory but not in practice, I guess is how I'd describe it. Oh, and one regular poster who was one of the most unpleasant people I've ever known. I still have no idea what she was doing in that kind of a forum, since she seemed to hate everyone else there and kept trying to get people she didn't like banned.

This is a unique forum... It's not too "new agy" but it's not cold science either.
I post on a Psychology Forum... but it's more like when I feel like helping or getting help.
I also post on CityDataForums... which has a variety of topics.

Still, nothing I've come across has been like this forum - pretty cool here!
