For as long as I can remember i've wasted so much time! At school and sixth form I always left work till last minute (often only finishing 30 seconds before lessons and missing homework.) I still managed to get top grades so wasn't exactly motivated to stop this. However it caused a lot of stress. And for example wouldn't do anything or hate doing other things because i'd feel i'd waste my time when I could be working so instead i'd end up spending the time surfing the internet or "tidying" my room... Now when I have days with nothing planned I exercise and then feel happy but then just waste the rest of the day and feel angry because of that. I think the internet is my biggest time waster and when I think about what I have gained the fact is nothing...it makes me feel terrible to be honest. Thanks for any help. |

You've got to have a plan. Otherwise you'll meander around until the sun goes down. I've always been borderline ocd about planning as far in advance as realistically possible and prioritizing. (Yeah I'm not an ENTP, I'm actually ESTJ, lol). Think of what you want - what do you want to accomplish? What's gotta get done for it to happen? Prepare all the steps, figure out what's possible for each day, and prioritize from there. G'luck! |

I have my days planned out too. At the very least, the top priority items are listed and I go through them usually in the mornings. Then I have the rest of the day for other things that might crop up or less priority tasks. You might also want to read up on Brian Tracy's work as he gets into time management a lot. |

I have this problem too. Lists, schedules and targets are a way of dealing with it. Also, rewarding yourself if you get certain things done too. The internet, for example, can be a time-waster but sometimes we need to waste a bit of time and just relax.
