Steve's podcasts are great. I wish I'd found out about this site many years later, because then he'd have more of them which I can listen to.

Does anybody know of any other sources where free podcasts about (things related to) personal development can be found?

I just find them via the blogs I read or a search through iTunes.

Here are some PD-related ones I like:

Everyday Systems
Sobercasting.org (Alcoholics Anonymous, but I find them inspiring despite not being an alcoholic.)
Infinite Smile (Buddhist.)

HunaTrainer as well. Huna is a good self-development "operating system" and has the law of attraction as its first principle!

The Everyday Systems people also do Health Hacks. I'll be giving them a try during my commute tomorrow and during a road trip that I am taking Friday. I'll try to post a review both here and in iTunes when I get back. Other podcasts that I have enjoyed are Vital Coaching, Beyond Reason, Theater of the Mind and the Naked Scientist. I found all of them in iTunes. Vital Coaching is a self-improvement podcast. It is somewhat hard to follow because of the speaker's accent. Also the sound quality varies greatly from one podcast to another, which can be distracting. Beyond Reason is a Nashville based new-age radio show. It is very professionally done, and has an interesting mix of new-age topics. Theater of the Mind is put out by Brain-Sync and is another New Age podcast. It is mostly interviews of authors trying to sell their books (many of the books are listed in the Whats on Your PD Bookshelf thread), but I did get some interesting insights. The Naked Scientist is a British call-in science show with an overview of the latest science news. Some is geared towards children, but they do make what could be a very dry topic interesting.

Check out the beautiful and bright songwriter Jo Davidson from NY:

Zentertainment Talk Radio

...and you might still find the pods she did with another talent, Alice Marie, on iTunes under the title Let's get metaphysical. They had some great talks about Intention-Manifestation! (First time I heard about it, I became so excited, still am.)

I listened to a few 'health hacks' podcasts on the way in to work this morning. They are interesting, with a few good tips. However, the music kind of gets to me. I am guessing that these podcasts are aimed at 20-somethings, from the music, and I'm probably just not interested in that genre. I never did 'get' hip-hop or techno.

Also, as a side note, a cooking segment spoke about file' powder as a thickener for soups, and mentioned that it was made from okra. It is acually made from sasafras leaves and is used as a substitute for okra. In fact, sasafrass is pretty much a weed here in the south, so many people probably have access to a ready supply. But this is a health podcast, not wildcrafting, so this is a bit of a digression.

Finally, one of the podcasters is parking his car as far as possible from where he works- on the roof of a parking garage. He complained that he would have to reduce his 'workout' when the snow starts because he won't be able to park on the roof anymore. What I am going to suggest is that he starts jogging up the car ramps to his car. The workout would be less intense than taking the stairs, but it will be a longer, more effective workout, IMHO.

I find the podcasts from Grasshopper New Media good.

I love podcasts. I really can't stand reading something long on a computer screen. I need to manifest a PDA!

I'm pretty sure 43 Folders has some good ones.

Plus, another thing I like to do is to search for whatever I want to learn about in Google Video, and then I can watch a clip or just listen to it.

Default Hay House Radio

I love this service it is free to register and listen, you can download past shows etc. They have some great hosts, such as Wayne Dyer, Bill Phillips (Body for Life), and many more top selling PD authors.

If you are into getting in shape Bill Phillips is very inspirational and usually speaks with people who have gotten in shape pretty good stories.

Wayne Dyer does call in, and talks about a specific topic in every show, there are many more personalities there, so check it out.
