Default My Journey to Personal Effectiveness

I hope this is a correct forum to put in my daily journal of mastering personal effectiveness (defined as ability to control my procrastination at bay, able to manage time efficient and effectively, self-discipline, and many others which can be put into personal effectiveness).

This journal never meant to be long but short and informative to let everyone who have access to the forum knows what is happening to this man.

I hope everyone will support me and criticize me in positive way because I am still newbie in managing my life.

So, I'll start my journal in:

2nd of May (GMT +8)
I woke up at 2 am and realize that my mom already there woke up although not long after that she sleep again (which is normal). I thought the match already started between Chelsea and Liverpool but the match still haven't started yet, so I'll just lay back and.... sleep.

4 am, I woke up and see that it's already extra time! 1-0, Agger scored one goal. I'm happy but still not too happy because it's 1-1 aggregate. At last, Liverpool won in penalty shootout. Hehehe.

I go to the mosque, praying, 6.20 am and after that, I go to recreational park to do some jogging. Since I'm so new in jogging (always sprinting), it's easy for me to get tired and I am embarrassed that groups of Chinese and one old Arabian guy (that I met in mosque) beat me in jogging. He jogs probably more than 5 times, and I... just once.

I do some press up as well, both morning and evening. Somehow, I don't feel I have done enough physical exercises, even after some old man beat me.

Skip to the most important part, I find it hard for me to focus, it is hard for me to focus on my studies and I have an exams tomorrow. I have 2 papers to finish and I doubt I can ace for both papers.

Any comments? Need to study for that paper...

If you want to continue editing the original responce I'd suggest posting two more responces in this thread so you can use them later on once the original is filled up.

I can delete this post if you want.

By the way great idea, good luck in whatever you want to do with your life !

Hey man,

keeping the journal is great. Make shure you stick to it. Don't get discouraged if you start off too ambitious on your journaling and keep follow through on the high standards you set for yourself during the first few entries of journaling

journaling is a learning proces within a learning proces for sure.
I for one started off logging every hour of the day. It felt great at first but I really felt horrible when I realised I couldnt keep up.

Then I set the bar a little lower but still so that I'd be pushing my limits inch per inch

Wherever you are, that's where you are.

check out al pacino's speech in the movie "any given sunday". that one keeps popping up into my head at times when I feel like giving up and feel overwhelmed.

hope these ideas give you some inspiration.

Smile

Glad there are someone out here supporting me. Will continue journaling and inform everyone what I am doing out here.

3rd May, 2007.

I don't do any morning jogging today as I have time constraint (need to go to school at 6.40 am) and I will do it tonight. I also notice that my brain is declining in performance after I stopped playing any mental extensive games such as Sudoku and Chess. What the heck... will do it after I write this. Need more brain performance to reap more benefits from studying.

I have exams tomorrow and I truly hope it will be better than today. Today papers surely... hard and I doubt it will get easier from now on as I have Add. Maths, Principals of Accounting and many, many other subjects to take.

Wish me luck everyone!

21st May, 2007.

Wow, how many weeks have I neglected this little progress thread of mine? I really lack of effectiveness in managing my own self.

Anyway, since the last post, I have not improved that much at all. After 3 weeks of exams, I only manage to do it last Sunday and a few times in that 3 weeks exams.

Heh... I need to be more disciplined... must be!
