Default Clearer and faster mind!

hello all good people!

Recently my job has gotten quite stressfull, I have to multitask all the time, calculate here, sign there, read this, talk to him/her while answering them etc. Sometimes it gets to much, and I screw things up
The fact is that my mind needs to be sharpened asap!, I want to do a perfect job and therefore really need to improve my mind power to the fullest.
are there any great programs/excersices that could be done on a daily basis or so, to really improve the mental abilities ?
btw, working on meditation right now!

Thankyou for answering

Are you waking and sleeping at about the same time? Consistancy of sleep patterns really helped me a lot. This includes weekends, btw.

Eat healthier food? I found that crap food (though I rarely eat it) gives me a rush and then crash when I can't think, so have to eat more crap food to feel better. I've found fruit really helps me clear my mind.

Mind and body are linked, so take care of your body. Others might be able to offer you more help with the more mind stuff.

Is there any way to cut down the multi-tasking? Humans can multi-task only so much. Or do you mean task-switching? Where you have to switch tasks really quickly. It takes psychic (psyche, not like telepathy or whatever) energy to do that. Getting Things Done has the benefit of helping quicken the task switching time thingy.

I think that what he is saying is that crappy food (mainly white sugar) will give you a rush... but if you want to stay on that rush... you have to keep on feeding on the stuff... and that sooner or later this circle will be self-defeating... the glandular system will be depleted... and you will be left with low brain capacities for an exceedingly long period...

Hi!

Meditation is definitely a great way too!

But learning how to prioritize your tasks are also very important in order for you to "multi-task" successfully. However, we have limits on how much stuffs we are handling.

I am sure you have heard or read Steven Covey's "7 Habits of Highly Effective People". He talks about “Urgent-Important Quadrant“.

QI - Important and Urgent
QII - Important but Not Urgent
QIII - Not Important but Urgent
QIV - Not Important and Not Urgent

I have written a blog post recently on that. If you are interested, you may want to read it at my blog. I feel it's a bit too lengthy to post in a forum. Thank you.

I hope I can help you in some way or another!

Default How about negotiating better conditions?

I admire your positive attitude.
Just wondering..Is your workload realistic? Perhaps some negotiation could be in order.

I am suspicious of increasing workloads that become unreasonably demanding. I have been in the position of trying to do a perfect job in impossible situations. Eventually when the pressure gets too much, you stuff up and it looks bad. Then it is harder too negotiate.

Not saying this is necessarily how it is for you, but just wanted to ask the question.
