Ok, I'm going to launch my next website. This’ a small project about my passion and my friends say i have to do it right now, not waste time. However, I'm unsure my English is good enough for this project. Maybe i should spend 3-4 months to improve my English and then i should run my one. Really, it seems not a difficult project, but something stopping me. Probably, it's my bad English or that's that i'll have to tell people my story. I've written 12 or 15 articles in English. My last article is Seashell Collecting - Some Funny Facts. Please googling it if you have time. Ok, i want to start that project because it should gain me some money to reach my goal. But on the other hand, maybe it would be better to spend my time improving my english than to run my project. My question sounds as; Should i start my project right now or to focus on my english skill first? Please your suggestions mean much to me. |

Just start to write And learn your English while doing it. It will motivate you to learn English more effectively. I don't speak English either and I am also akward at writing in it. Still, I just started an English blog and now I quite enjoy expressing myself in somewhat *broken English* So if you have one reason to start a website right now against thousands of others, just go do it. You will be all right, you will find yourself speaking more English than you thought you ever known |

Just get going on the new website - if you're writing articles you're English will improve anyway. And don't seek out perfection - if you do, there'll never be a right time and you'll never be happy

You can start your website now but have the option of getting somebody who writes English well to act as your informal editor for now. If you want to reach an English speaking market, you do need to get a decent level of grammar. Otherwise, poor grammar I'm sure in any language will turn people off. On another note, making money online is a long term effort. Nothing comes fast and you also have to make sure that there is an online market for your topics. Only adequate online research will determine this level of market demand for you. |

Yeah, you're right my English is poor. I know making money online isn't easy. However, i've earned online for 10 years already I've been selling collectibles worldwide since 2006. And really customers don't take any attetion to your English if you offer them quality goods. Of course, my new website is another thing, and it's why i'm worrying of my EN. Sometimes the choice of words just sound bad, at least when it's English. I know this is not easy. What happens sometimes is when you translate words from one language to another, the context could be lost or the order of words may come out inappropriately in English. I'm working on a Chinese Cantonese version of my motivational keynote and quite often when I do a word for word translation from English into Cantonese, my translator tells me that the resulting phrase is worded incorrectly. Keep at it and do find somebody who can help you (and has the time for it). | |

Ok, thank you Clint. I'm careless with my writing on the forum. But i always try to be careful of the writing for my website. And that's why i asked you to give me a few examples with my mistakes at the website if you visited it. I'm no bad writer on my home language, but not in English. ------ Thanks Fred. Sorry, i couldn't catch - what someone should write for me |
