| This is an interesting personal development site I found. It is a bit a different than others I have seen. Its focus is on do it yourself REBT ( cognitive "therapy") as a means of personal development rather than therapy. Personal Development always seemed like a natural area to me for REBT. REBT is based on the idea that what we think controls what we feel and how we behave. We can change undesirable behavior patterns and emotions by self analyzing our irrational thoughts with logic, substituting new rational thoughts based on reality, and then behaving in ways consistent with that those new rational thoughts. The site focuses on a lot of common irrational beliefs, common problem behaviors, and common emotions that hold people back in personal development. People who find that things like "the secret" , intention manifestation, etc not to be their cup of tea will like this site as it is very focused on objective reality, dealing with what is known, what can be proved, what is rational and using logic. However, it uses simple language and is easy to digest. People who do like things like "the secrect" and IM will also get a lot out of the site, IMHO, as its focus is on what is going on inside of your head in terms of beliefs and thoughts. Give it a try ( I am in no way affiliated with the site ). Personal Development With Will Ross: Self-Help Ideas That Work! Last edited by Cron : 04-28-2007 at 11:06 AM. |

It is rare to come across people who know about REBT, so I would it interesting to hear what parts of REBT that you believe do not work and why. |
