... on yourself? I have work that is kind of a climb. Why do i avoid things (learning new things) because of fear of failure? Sometimes i feel stupid as hell learning this new program. Then if i think about it too much, go procrastinate even more/ get depressed. How do i stop feeling like a dumbass? I'm in college i switched my focus, feel kind of bad because im 25 and i need to graduate but this could make money and its interesting. I dont understand why i love this focus so much but i do the procrastinating sometimes. (today for example, i cant get on a site with tons of tutorials -- its not working -- so i try to get other work done, which doesn't really work very well. Also how do you stop being so linear sometimes?) I read one time that when you get low self-esteem you procrastinate a lot. Well what if your work gives you low self-esteem sometimes because its really challenging at first? I have made a lot of progress but i still feel behind and i get REALLY REALLY down when i procrastinate. When i lose focus and momentum. Also my parents are constantly bitching at me about everything unrelated to school and they dont care what i am doing right now. i just want to do something wtihout letting them get in the way... Can anyone please help, I need advice I can get soo depressed after i procrastinate. Like I just killed someone. Why do i even let myself do it? it doesnt make sense, I guess im lucky im so stubborn but still Last edited by Kronique; 07-04-2011 at 03:05 AM. |

Is there a Councillor at the Univ you could talk to? Looks like you are depressed and that is causing you to procrastinate. There are several ways to overcome depression, talking to someone with experience is one. There is one book I always recommend for depressed people. It helped me overcome mine. Have a look.
