| I understand that time in an illusion, a concept, that in a subjective world, I have created. I understand that it is here to teach me something but I'm having a hard time (no pun intended) figuring out what. I have attained a grasp on so many other things in my life to reduce stress and enjoy my life, but there's always that stinkin clock ticking at my side. For example, I feel pressured by time for certain goals (i.e. financial) to be completed so I can move on to the next (take classes to fulfill other goals etc..) Or, I never have enough time in a day or before a set appointment/work to do everything I want to. The clock says I have to cut it off and head out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to change my thinking to embrace time? |

| Hi 'Learning to grow'. There are two Greek words used for time in the Scriptures. One is ‘kairos’ and the other is ‘chronos’. Chronos refers to the measured space of time second by second regardless of what goes on during that space of time. Kairos means a package of time or a season that has a particular activity going on in it and which may last for a short or a long chronological period of time. A ‘kairos package’ is determined for a purpose. Look the article up on my blog under 'two kinds of Time' - Cheers - Paul Home Page - Spiritcode - Spiritual growth

| time is most definitely not an illusion; it's a rather essential fabric to the universe, the fourth dimension, and all sorts of other goodies.....our MEAUSUREMENT of time may be man-made, but time itself exists whether or not we measure it. Some believe, myself included, that it is not static, but rather dynamic, and if anything, we are static in the river of time. Mathematically we should be able to move both forward and back along it, but the technology doesn't exist (yet) whcih is truly ironic.

But maybe you are very disciplined on getting things done, but that they are things that you have to do for other people. Does that stinkin clock cause you stress and are wondering how not to feel stressed out from not having enough time? What do you mean by "embrace time?" Do you mean to get the most out of your time? Just give us some more feedback so that we know if there is some other advice to give. Last edited by Sunnybayes : 04-23-2007 at 05:48 PM. |

| I suppose I understand on some level that time does indeed exist as a fourth dimension. However, to me that isn't necessarily "clock time". So indeed, I have "created" created time. I think I do so to teach me something, I'm just not aware of what it is and at this point, it seems to create anxiety. For example, I've been trying to manifest financial abundance for some time. I do also feel like there's not enough "time" to finish all of the things I want done. I feel pressure that if I want things to manifest in my world, I need to take action (in the words of James Ray) but when things don't manifest by the "time" I think I need them to, I get frustrated. I've taken a few days to ponder all of this, since I don't think my original post was clear. I believe the answer for me is to just relax. Experience the unfolding manifestation. Don't put deadlines on my goals and trust the universe will take care of me (i.e. my bank account is getting slimmer as I try to find my purpose and pursue it). This is a tad frightening for me. I like a) to have a schedule always b) that I can control and c) a plan. After trying things this way for awhile with out too much manifesting, I'm ready to just throw caution to the wind and see where it takes me. Flow down the river as some might say. This means, instead of following this strict regimen that some (most) people suggest (Brian Tracy) where you write specific goals, date etc... I am going to take a more Marc Allen approach when I write my intentions. In it's own perfect time etc... Has anyone ever dealt with this issue and can you offer other suggestions? Hope I was more clear. |
