Default Some of the best quotes by forum members. Add your own

I have often heard such amazing original one liners here by some members. They have stuck in my head and i bring them back into consciousness whenever my train of thinking derails.I dont remember the exact sentence, but the essence. Here it goes.

180- (He's my absolute favorite :P) - Happy people dont go out and ask to the society "Am i happy" i.e. by purchasing and intending to showcase materialistic things. Instead they just disregard all social conventions and go all out seeking what they want.

Lookcloser- To get a better perspective of yourself, disconnect a little while from the world and do some things which absoultely makes you scream "Whoa Man, im totally awesome"

Erin ( She posted this yday on FB)- People who are dancing madly are thought insane by the people who cant hear the music

Steve( He has the gift of delicious writing. A pleasure to read his posts) - When your course of life goes haywire, you dont drown yourself in alcohol and drugs, you just change the course.

Sadly, that's not Erin's quote, it's a well known one about as popular as "you laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you're all the same".

Edit: This Steve quote made me LOL: "Nevertheless, in an effort to be open-minded, I'll add this item to my "Someday/Maybe" list, right after the idea for doing 30-day trial of eating nothing but marshmallows and Elmer's glue."

I like that one Pandorous. Especially how Silence is capitalized. That's certainly how I feel about it.

Silence is sacred.

I need to be silent now, because there are things needed to be work out.

By the way, thank you for the compliment - you made me so happy.

"I'd prefer to take her to a picnic, push her on the swing, and maybe furtively grope her over her pinafore!" -- beast

Of course, she was talking about me, which could explain why I liked it so much. I would love to go on a picnic with you, beast; you, me, and those petit fours...

O.K, this is so unfair, because I usually keep my favorite lines, but not the name of the poster...

Here's one where I know the identity of the poster:

The Cloud:
Quote:
Do you think perhaps that the reason you are so disgusted with dealing with other people is the things that they want back from you?
Here's another one, poster unknown, hope he/she recognizes him/herself:
Quote:
I will always have everyone I need because by just being myself and broadcasting who I am loudly enough for other people to hear, those who are a match for who I am will come flocking.

Google gives a single source that has the quote and it isn't from this forum:The Gift of Total Freedom (a.k.a.”TheCandyCanePost”)

It's funny that you linked it, Brutha, because I just got a pingback from you posting that link that notified me about this thread.

While the quote may not have been posted directly to the forum, it is technically still a quote by a forum member.

Thanks for the shout out C33!

"To be honest, spiritual work is not for the faint of heart. At it's core it's all about death. Whether that be the death of the now moment or the death of the identity that you used to believe you were. It is the death of every concept you ever held about the world and if it's not, you're not doing it right, or you've deluded yourself with silly thoughts about universal consciousness and unicorns." - BillyTheAdult like 5 minutes ago

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. Security does not exist in nature nor do the children of man experience it as a whole, avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than exposure.
