I asked about morning routines a while back and got some good responses. So now I'm curious...what's your evening routine? I don't have a very elaborate one. I try to write down five things that happened during the day that I was thankful for and meditate for 20 minutes. But I'm wondering if there are some other things I can do to properly close out the day, get ready for sleep and prepare for the next day. Please feel free to share what you do or any suggestions. Thanks!

hmmmmm evening routine ... i think that my routine is simple and I might use some of ur tips guys as well to make it more effective. In my country we have two days off on Thursday and Friday and therefore the week starts on Saturday. On Friday :- Revise the previous week's schedule before planning new one for the next week ... this includes the tasks i accomplished and the one i didnt and the reason i was not able to finish what i wanted to do. Then i start planning for the next week taking in consideration what i missed this week. On Saturday:- before going to sleep i would be watching TV (from 9:00 PM to 12:00 PM) On Sunday :- i would be working out or reading book before going to bed On Monday:- Watching TV up to 1:00 AM On Tuesday :- Studying for an exam On Wednesday :- Out party with friends On Thursday:- Surfing the net, checking forums ...etc On Friday :- Check schedule again What about urs ? |

This is MUST step every night! I like to read, like I'm reading for the second time around Think & Grow Rich. What I love to do is to listen to motivational and personal development audio through my night. That's a million dollar tip! I have to give thanks to God to an Awesome day! Stay Fired UP and Foused! I have a morning routine and daily routine. Evening routine would be way too much. Seriously, I always plan my day, but evenings are always unplanned. Except on weekends, this is the only time I can be with my wife and daughter and trying to fit them into my routine would be incorrect. Also, what I'll do depends on how I feel in the evening. If I'm tired I put phones on and listen a music. I might also read a book or watch TV. I don't think that everything has to be planned. Planning is always related to a frustration of some degree because of possible missed plans. Evenings shuld be the time to relax and let things go by themselves. Just my two cents. Cheers, Grigor

Thought this was for a morning routine! Was all ready with my Healthy Start post Evening routine, that's interesting I must have been blind sided by this one, never really thought about it. Well I don't have a TV thanks to Steve Mind you I sometimes cheat and watch things on YouTube I try to get in at least 25 minutes with the Insight CD helps me unwind and re-focus after a long day. I have a long commute to and from London so there isn't much of an evening left to routine. I'm really enjoying exploring the blog community at the moment and so spend a couple of hours each night, updating and browsing. Maybe too much browsing I do spend 30 mins with my girlfriend at the end of every night chatting over a glass of red wine (medicinal of course). A nice way to finish off the day and talking to my girlfriend for such a long time always makes me tired |

It will be difficult to explain it through text. In short, it is your subconscious mind that creates your reality. However, in your awaken state, your conscious mind (thinking) gets in the way of the subconsious. So at night as you sleep your conscious mind is out of the way and now your subscious mind can receive the information to create your reality. That makes sense doesn't it? It's an awesome way to reprogram your thinking. I've been testing this method at a different level and I'm seeing great results in myself and those I mentor. Step outside your comfort zone and do it. 7:05 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Make a schedule and a gym log for the next day. 8:00 p.m. 8:05 p.m. Get a bottle of water, take my medicine, eat a banana, and drink a protein shake. 8:05 p.m. 8:50 p.m. Go over my daily journals and compare to my schedules. 8:50 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Take my contacts out, brush my teeth, get undressed, and pray. 9:00 p.m. 5:00 a.m. Sleep. I also write in my journal when I have time left over from making my next day's schedule. |
