| This week has been great. I've been focused, waking up MUCH earlier without hitting the snooze button, and most of my time has been productive. I've even been sober for 36 hrs. (It's a start.) Knowing me, however, next week could be the polar opposite. So, do any of you have any advice on how to prevent myself from falling back into the same old bad habits? |

| First of all , you have to realize, truly realize your priorities. For me it was drinking wine. I would binge it . And then Id wake up the next morning like "never again". Finally I just took a few weeks off from drinking. I was running every day and I was eating healthy , and pretty much was on a detox. It felt sooo amazing in the end. When I had the urge to do something bad like drink or eat choclate or too much sugar, I just said "No not right now, later". My procrastination with doing the "bad" continued on for a long time. Than when the oppurtunity came up again, Id feel like Ive been doing so good so far, why break now. And that cycle continued.Also... Always have lots and lots of bottles of water laying around. Just remember, in the end, your goal will pay off immensly. Otherwise you wouldnt have set it in the first place. |

| Start a progress thread. Then we'll yell at you if you don't stay consistent. Develop your self conciousness. Be more conscious. If you have not developed your conciousness to a high enough level yet, so that you remain aware of your upper level thought process/habits, then become aware of them by keeping a journal. Observe your inner state/feelings and write it down. Dailey. Also, if you really want to be consistent, then tell us an answer yourself: why next week could you be the polar opposite? If you learn and can think up some reasons why you will be polar opposite then you can learn to change that, and give us some feed back so we can give you more ideas. However, it is in our power to decide who and what we are... we can redefine our identity... we can change our self-image... and, in changing that self-image... we also change our behavior... Maxwell Maltz said, “The ''self-image'' is the key to human personality and human behavior. Change the self image and you change the personality and the behavior.” It is your choice... it is your life... make the most of it... good luck . |

| Forgive yourself if you stumble. I heard the following from a friend of mine. "Having a setback is merely a signal that you made progress."

| Consistency is essential to anything Everyone at one time or another has been successfull temporarily. The only difference between the average and successfull man is that the successfull man consistently experiences success. some famous businessman said "if your not consistent, your non-existent!' |

| You have already taken the most important step and changed your routine... That's great...change it some more...nothing drastic...bit by bit...you could try a daily exercise routine...or just go for a walk...was there a particular time that you felt like a joint? If so do something else at that time... Dave B
