Default How to implement The Secret in life

I have just recently learned about the secret and have started trying to implement it in my life. My biggest difficulty has been my job. I currently work an assembly-type job, on my own, eight hours a day. With all that free time on my own, I inevitably succumb to that sinking doubt: "How is it going to happen?" "Is it really possible?"
Years and years of self-doubt is challenging to overcome, I know, but forty hours a week of this type of thinking will naturally prevent manifestation of my dreams!!!
I was hoping that maybe I could get some hints and tips from people who are using the secret in their own lives - a different perspective would be very helpful indeed!
Thank you

You've found your way to this forum, that's certainly a good start!

One thing I've noticed is that the universe takes care of "how" - not me!

But, I must admit, this is something that I learn over and over again... Once something manifests, I often laugh about the time I spent agonizing about how the heck it was ever going to happen. I realize, "I never could have imagined it happening like this, but this worked out perfectly!"

My advice to you would be to make the most of your time right NOW and see where it leads you. (After all, now is all we have!):

The type of work you do sounds like it could be quite meditative. How about listening to personal development cd's while you are doing your home assembly? Or reading over your personal list of positive affirmations and goals during your breaks? When I feel stuck, I like to tell myself, "I am in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing!"

Since you're working at home, make sure you get out of the house every day. Even if you can't afford to eat lunch out, you could buy a tea and spend a little time at a coffee house, for instance. A change of scenery can do wonders.

Pay attention to the kinds of daydreams you have while you do your home assembly; who knows what wild idea will lead you on to your life's adventure?

Best wishes and I look forward to seeing you around the forum.

Have fun!
Tui

You can learn more about the Law of Attraction. As many people have pointed out, The Secret is a very simplistic explanation of LoA. Steve's got quite a few blog posts about it (just click on the Intention-Manifestation category to get at them). The Law of Attraction and Ask and It is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks (channeling Abraham) are good sources, too. Deepak Chopra has written about LoA in his books. HTH.

Default Attitude of Gratitude

The first thing I did after watching "The Secret" is to adopt an Attitude of Gratitude for everything I have in my life.

I talked about it in a post on this forum sometime ago:
Instantly improve your life with an Attitude of Gratitude

Adopting this attitude could help you get through your working days faster.

I suggest you also listen to motivational CD's while you work (assuming it is allowed). If not, do it in your car on the way to your job and on the way back home.

Good Luck!
René
