Let me tell you about the RAS (Reticulo-Activating System) Every instant… our brain is bombarded with hundreds of stimulus or input… like… the temperature, the ambient noises, everything that is in our field of vision etc… Now, if the brain was conscious of all these stimulus (input) it would go in overload in no time… and we would go banana… Now, there is a mechanism in the brain called the RAS… which is a filter that let certain stimulus reach the conscious and blocks others… mainly, it will allow those inputs in which we are interested in and block those that do not interest us… As an example… if you are hungry while driving down main street… you’ll see food outlets everywhere… but you may not notice gas stations or other shops and boutiques… So, when, through the Law of Attraction, you focus on certain things, the RAS will bring to your conscious the opportunities that could open up for you to reach those objectives… However, if you rely on the Law of Attraction alone… and do not add action to it… what you are actually doing is wishful thinking… and wasting your time… . |

| Keith Cunningham once said: ‘Everyone at the front of the line starts from the back of the line and stays there’. Imagine you are waiting in line at McDonalds. You are in one line but you see that the other line is shorter so you move to that one. After a couple of minutes, you realize that your original line is now moving faster than the one you are in now. Now you want to jump back into the previous line. Guess what? There is no way anyone in the original line is going to let you cut in. You’ve got to pay your due, your time and your focus in one single line in order to get to the end. I had the pleasure to hear him speak and he was amazing. He inspired me and wrote this piece on my site. Hope you also enjoy his teaching! | 1) things are never as bad as they first seem to be... Yep I agree with that one. If you have had what you think is the worst experience in your life, and that you will never recover - you're wrong and if you want, it can make you stronger. |

| Life has taught me that, in order to get ahead in life, you need to get out of your comfort zone. It can be scary, stressful and intimidating, but every time I have done it, I have improved myself, my career, my salary, my relationships or whatever part of my life the action was related to. | LOL, "Always bring a towel". Nice. Along those lines: "Always find the light switch first, then flush". No, but seriously: Dual or non-dual, old or young, happy or miserable, the only person you can truly know and trust, is yourself.... [few years later] ...and even then, it still takes work Last edited by Asmoday : 04-26-2007 at 06:15 PM. Reason: spelling |

| My personal experiance... 1. In life, nothing is free. You really need to struggle to achieve some thing. 2. Smartness, knowledge etc may not always take you to the top, there is an amount of luck.
