So I have been watching these forums for a while, almost since they opened. I have been watching a few people, watching new members. I notice alot of people have some pretty smart heads on their shoulders. They know what they are talking about. They don't get swayed by the popular beliefs. They know what they know and they know it well. On a more negative note however, I am noticing the problems I see with every other forum I visit. Eventually people begin to stagnate. People are grabbing at whatever scraps of knowledge Steve throws out, this place is not what it should be, a think tank of intelligent people coming up with new ideas, its just a giant Critique of Steves writing. I mean come on people! I know its hard to think when all your life you told you shouldn't but I can see the problem and I am 16! What does that say about you? You may be happy, but your not being true to yourself. Some of us are in a disillusioned state of happiness and perfection. Of course some of us are just cynical and thats fair enough. I mean...be cynical if you want. Thats not Truth either. Don't listen to the fanatics who say the best thing you can do with your life is totally serve others without a care for yourself. That is mindlessly, stupidly Idiotic. Don't forget you exist as well as they do. In fact the only thing you are aware of is yourself. You have no proof that other people think like you do, or that they are even aware like you are. You are a Human being. Regardless of Soul or Energy Body or Chakras. Don't listen to the people who talk about attention grabbing rubbish like "I have a swirling, purple blue vortex of clockwise spinning energy in my lower energy field vector" that is just dissilusionment, where they try and find meaning in something that has none. We may have energy bodies, in fact I am quite sure we do, but it is nothing special, it is nothing amazing that means we have a connection to God, it is just another aspect of ourselves you must come to terms with. Each Human has ability and power and Spirit and passion and righteous fury, however so many people refuse to let emotions show for fear of being told they are wrong, for fear of being told you cannot, or you won't, fear of being held back. Don't listen to that fear. Don't listen to others. Don't be afraid to be different. If you don't believe something stand up and say it. Don't just agree because everyone does. I see alot of that on this forum, so called Spiritualistic people who just nod their heads in faux sagacity at whatever mindless blabber new members (or Old) come out with. If you truly wish to be spiritual people then seek for the truth, do not stagnate in the illusions of comfort you haber. That is enlightenment. Not tarots, not crystals, not becoming an Ascended twelfth level Elf Lord on the 7th plane of the almighty Saint Barakus, not overcoming a fear of spiders, or getting your dream job, or fixing your poor relationships. Enlightenment can only be achieved in life. Not in death, nor in sacrifice. Truth, God, ONENESS, is within you ONLY. Looking for it by sacrifice is like looking for a contact lens in the dark, no chance. Your Life is yours alone: Rise up and live it. Or get out of my way, because I want to cast my own shadow, not live under one. |

Most of them suffer from intolerance and think that destructive criticism is the way to fight this everyday war. "The more we criticize the more we grow" might sound like a fair slogan to them. Most of it is intended to feed the ego and is interpreted before experiencing any of the results generated by the attacked ideas. I am sick of this repetitive thinking, which is not even thinking by the way. We're running in circles most of our lives. Steve is great. |

I agree with what you said about this forum becoming a bastion of spiritual waste. Over the past couple of weeks I've held back from posting because I don't really feel any compulsion too. But from now I'm going to participate in debating the merits and truths of the various beliefs expressed within the forum. What can I say - I'm feeling a little bit more bloodthirsty. I've been very quiet recently and it's about time that changed

I wouldn't feel comfortable letting anyone lead me. It is my goal, as far out as it sounds, to be a major player in the histroy of our civilisation. Its my goal to right the wrongs of our moronic leaders. President Bush, Prime Minister Tony Blair. You say the threat lies to the east. I say YOU are the threat we fear. You wish to destroy us all. The sooner you are out of office the better. Long live Truth and Freedom. With the help of people like Steve, you and countless others, we can truly make a difference. And I believe I will spearhead it. I belive I will guide the Earth into a better place.

If you're going to spearhead it, I'll urge you to always make certain that what you want to accomplish and what you are actually accomplishing are always the same thing. It is too easy to enter any politically charged arena, and rather than solving a problem, you instead create several more... Often, we just don't have a broad enough perspective. Bush believes that what he is doing is for the greater good of America, but the methods that he is using guarantee that any changes he make will be quickly changed again when he leaves office. Your methods are just as important as your goals. I wish you luck, and as you make more concrete plans to improve the world, I'll check in and see if I'm ready to join in or not. |

Well, yeah we are using Steve's web site. It's all free for us. I think Steve puts out ideas, and many actually are not agreeing right away. Although, he does seem to have an air of authority just from putting together so much and having so many interested. Many probably read his stuff and find insights they haven't had. I always try to see the Truth in what he writes. In other words, I think, if something is of value then it will have shreds of Truth to it and should fit into what I already think is True. Or one or the other is not real. Meanwhile I try to understand his polarity idea, and first was just quickly off on my own tangent. So is my own tangent something you wish this forum supported better? Now, you say, this forum should be more of a think tank, OK. I'm with that, I hope. I mean there's something to critiqueing that is also a way to learn about what you yourself thinks. Some critiques are just starting points for new ideas that people have because of thinking about something Steve wrote or another's post for that matter. But maybe there's not as much of that as you wish there could be. Thinking for yourself is similar to breaking conditioned behaviours - and both thinking for yourself and letting go of conditioning are precisely what leads to Truth. |

Thank you for your support. We will see how my future plans go. But If I know myself, and I must say I do know myself quite a bit, then it won't be long before it all starts, I would say in the next decade you can look out for Philip Nelson on the news... |

After a long time i was amazed by something written on the net and this is the one. Great post Akashic. I can't believe that you're only 16, cause teenagers i see in my life are so much simplier than you. Keep going that way. And I hope that you will not be in situations that all this members brought here. When was 16, i was like you, filled with energy and i loved life. But as you grow up you see that the world is not such wonderful and amazing place as you imagined when you were young. Some of us are dissapointed, confused, lost, abandoned, depressed, lonely, anxious. It is normal not to have that feelings in your teens, i guess it is normal not to have that at all. But many of people aren't normal and they don't fit in. Most of the time it is no big deal and they don't care being different but sometimes they seek for some kind of approvement that things they do are good. Or they desperately crave for things to become better and forget to look around and see that things are actually very well. Vicious cirlce is created then and people start to seek lens in the dark as you said. They need a switch or a spark to find light again. If you manage to convince people that they are actually feeling well and that their problems are trivial you could become what every single great leader of the world tried to be. A God... So take many people with problems and put them together and what will you get? A bunch of problems. |

I noticed that you put a link to Krishnamurti's speech when he broke with the theosophists. If truth is really pathless, how can you lead anyone to anything? And if you do lead others, how can they ever know what is in you is the truth? I think you would agree that the answers are within. That being the case, how could you give them to another? If you are talking about petty and small political actions, then that is one thing. Sure, some things can be accomplished, but can that free human beings? We've had similar political systems in place now for thousands of years. How has humanity changed because of that? Has it? I cannot see it. Anyway, I love your energy and you have a skill as a writer. Keep going and don't waste that. I wasted my skill for years before it finally bit me in the ass, so stay with it. Keep going. And KEEP POSTING.

I just found this thread and its wonderful to see that my views haven't changed, my ability to be more tactful has though haha. I would just like to say I still feel compelled to do something about our civillisation. And leadership is still an option, but i have more options being revealed to me all the time! |
