Trusting myself to get stuff done

A while ago I noticed that the traditional method of intimidating myself, or being intimidated by others, to get stuff done had become entirely counter-productive once I was no longer in school. So for a while I've been working on the resistance I feel towards certain projects that I feel important to get done (usually associated with money). I feel as though I am VERY close to getting rid of the resistance entirely.

Yesterday I realized that at the root of it was a severe distrust of myself to be productive if I don't intimidate myself into getting things done, as if I need to be properly "disciplined" to be productive. Intellectually I know that all my efforts towards self-discipline have only made things worse in the long run, and I know that the resistance towards the resistance-ful projects is only created because I don't trust myself to work on them without force and intimidation.

So:
trusting myself to be productive = the feeling that I need to control myself is gone = resistance caused by that feel is gone = productivity

So what I'm currently working on is getting myself to trust myself.

I'm not posting specifically for advice or help, I'm just posting because I know that doing so will help keep it at the front of my mind. Any comments are appreciated, though.
