I found the article to express what I've felt and experienced but never really been able to put into words. I'm glad I found this.

Excellent essay. I agree with all the points it makes.

It was partly due to these "lessons" that I almost committed suicide during my school years.

These forums -- especially this one -- contain a few vocal, belligerent school propagandists. When I made a post describing how much I enjoy independent learning over University, I was flamed on all sides.

lol...just ignore the flames, the trolls are few and far between.

Just a tip, but you may want to try the Character forum -- they are much more receptive to (gasp!) questioning the system.
