Unhappy went from future-positive focus to past-negative focus

hi there!

i have been future-positive focused a long time, i worked hard and thought about the good things that will come of it - that motivated me to work hard.

Now i had a 2 week depressive mood time, which has to do me thinking that i am old and lived my life the wrong way.
Now i am thinking a big part of my time about how the past could have been if i lived it different, practically daydreaming what i would do now (with my knowledge) when i was 16 again, how great it would be.
Or i indulge in present hedonistic stuff like watching movies and porn.

Well.
What i will do now:
- if i start daydreaming i stop myself and ask myself 'what could i be looking forward to in the future?'
- start good habits of asking good questions in the morning and gratefulness in the evening.

Just wanted to write this, comments welcome!

It happens that after periods of hard work, I feel down because I get excitement only from work. Therefore, I learned over the years to diversify my sources of joy and excitement. Can you identify a few activities that will bring you joy and which are not related to your work?

Why do you think that daydreaming is bad?

I've been in a similar situation actually. I was living in a place that made me really happy, but eventually it had to come to an end. For the last few months I've been looking back wishing I could go back. But recent I realised something important that has really helped - don't worry about what has been gone, think of what can be built.

Now I've realised that even so those good times have gone, if I build now then new good times can return
