My goal for 2011 is to get my website off the ground. I usually have a 12 month plan and last years was to develop the website, which was completed. It's now time to get it out there and make it a success!

I have a bunch of other goals, like getting myself in a position where I can move to a bigger home with a garden and visit Rome. Most of my goals will depend on how successful my business becomes, but my vision gives me the drive to achieve my goals!

Hope you are all doing well with your 2011 goals so far...

Cassie.

What does getting it "off the ground" mean to you? If you could describe that in numbers you will more likely complete that goal too because your mind will laser in on that goal (hence more mental energy on that goal.)

Good for you man! Do you break that 12 month plan into smaller chunks?
Or do you keep it at 12 months?

Quick summary.

1. Finish and pass all my classes so I can go to the university that I've decided on.
2. Finish my piano audition, and play in three piano recitals this year, already did one. (Audition with a national guild)
3. Play in two guitar recitals. (First one is coming soon)
4. Finish up level 4 improv acting semester. (I'm done with 1-3)
5. Obtain two scuba diving certifications, same as last year. (I have three certifications right now)
6. Compete in at least one weightlifting competition. (Bench press is 255-265 right now, need to raise is about 25 to 50 pounds)
7. Continue to go to toastmasters, finish at least 2 new speeches a month until I move.
8. Start learning Spanish and Mandarin. (I already speak English and another dialect of Chinese)
9. Become CPR and first aid certified, a college course will teach me this.
10. Read 4 new chapter books a month. I'm behind on this goal, I have only read about 8 to 10 books this year, and I should be at 12 to 16.

I'm sure there's more I can't think of.

My main goal is to find a way to make a million dollars so that I'll never have to work again, so that I can do whatever I want, regardless of whether or not it makes me money. I'll invest some of it, so that it grows, and use the rest as spending money for the next 50-70 years. I'll buy a plot of land, build a small house, and live my days doing what I love most

Default One goal

I have one goal and that's to be true to myself and listen to my intuition. No more doing things to please others or putting myself in danger. I'm done with letting myself be in 2nd place. I come first now.

Develop a skill that people are prepared to pay for, like NLP. This is a skill that is much in demand. Become an expert, help people through your articles and they will donate.

Hi everyone, I'm new here and here is my 2012 goal list:

1. Enter MA in Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology
2. Come closer to sexual mastery
3. Stick to monthly goals I created for expanding borders of my comfort zone

As we are in December now my monthly goal is to plant high-quality seeds of self-discipline. That I find to be a crucial skill for achieving my 2012 goals. In 2012 all monthly goals will correspond to those three main goals.

I will create a new post about my month with self-discipline. Nice to be here.

3. Challenges - I will finish what I start and do what I say I will do. Currently, I have a long history of intending something and backing out at the last minute or simply not finishing.

I guess I'll call that my focus. A couple of specific goals that are important to me:

Relationships

-attend at least three Big Brothers, Big Sisters social events
-keep in touch with my friends (e-mail, phone call, meet for lunch)

Challenges

-go through the Master Practitioner NLP course
-learn to canoe
-learn to dance
-practice singing daily

That's all I've got for now I was hoping for someone to start this thread!
Let's check in and see how we did for 2011....

Relationships boomed (in a good way), finished NLP, learned to canoe, finished a lot of stuff and that's about it. Not too shabby.

Creating new thread to house 2012 goals....

Hello, I'm new here. I'll post my 2012 goals here until a new sticky comes up

1. Grades grades grades! Freshman year, I finished with 3.2 both semesters. Not too shabby, but this semester it's plummeted to a 2.2 due to health and social issues. Next semester, I'm taking more interesting classes and will have a busy schedule with plenty of studying, exercising, and self-improvement

2. Health. I've neglected my health too long. Thankfully, I always have a balanced diet of fruit, vegetables, starch, and protein, but minimal exercises. I'll be hitting the gym on a regular basis starting 1 Jan 2012

3. Relationships. Romantic and platonic. I've never had a girlfriend or really close friends. I've just kept to myself too much and it's really affecting my mood. I'll join some clubs and strike up conversations more.

4. Self improvement. I used to love playing the piano, but due to poor time management never had time to practice. I'll be more productive in 2012 and hopefully I'll have time to learn some things that I enjoy, like playing the piano and taking photographs.

I've always had "yearly resolutions" but none of them have turned to be successful. This year it's really really going to be different. I hope 2012 will be a productive and successful year for everyone else as well!

Looking back at my goals:

Quote:
My main focus in 2011 is LOVE. I want this to be the force which drives me, Loving unconditionally. Less fear more courage. To express. And my self esteem is high!
Yes. This happened. I opened my heart, was more vulnerable, expressed my love. I was not afraid to love. I fell in love 3 times this year and told them.
I hadnt fallen in love and told someone since 1994. So thats progress..
  1. Quote:
Bringing all my connections to either fade away (if they are loveless) or deepen into soul connections.
    Yes. Totally happened.
  2. Quote:
Spending time with my family. Bonding with them in a deeper way.
Yes, resolved a lot of pain with my mother. We now only laugh for hours when we talk
  3. Quote:
I form new growth conscious relationships.
I did, quite a few deep honest friendships were formed this year, amazing in fact!
  4. Quote:
I share a loving relationship with a man I admire and accept and respect. Someone who feels like my equal. and most importantly someone who wants a committed relationship with me too! I trust the universe to provide me this in 2011! Thank you. I am ready for love and I approach the new year with an open heart and open mind. We spend a lot of time together bc we love eachother's company. Our relationship is a top priority for both of us.
Not anything that really lasted long term. But I tasted love, mutual love. It just didnt last very long
  5. Quote:
I give more. Time. Help and whatever I can. I share.
Yes, I did I went beyond my comfort zone, gave and shared more then I ever did.
  6. Quote:
I am grounded. To be in a place knowing I plan to stay there. NYC. Not feeling so temporary.
Didnt quite happen. I moved around quite a lot
  7. Quote:
I belong to a very prestigious gallery in my home and in the USA. we share a great open trusting relationship. And they do a great job at promoting me and my work as well as making plenty of sales. They make a profit from my work, as it sells at high prices and gets plenty of press.
Happened in my home country, but not yet in the USA
  8. Quote:
20 of my works are sold in 2011. by me or dealers where I get a percentage. Including to important collections.
    I sold 10. Not 20
  9. Quote:
My work shown in an important art-fair.
Yes, kind of but I have a big one in 2012
  10. Quote:
Solo show in a museum. Or at least have concrete date for that (if not in 2011)
Yes, I have there is a plan for that, not yet a date, but theyve expressed their desire And we set a meeting to make a date.
  11. Quote:
I take part in a group museum show. An important international museum and I take part in important group shows.
    Yes, this happened.
  12. Quote:
I make 3000$ a month from my art
No, and I didnt focus on this either, I made money in other ways
  13. Quote:
My work receives plenty of press internationally
Yes. TV articles and written press.
  14. Quote:
I buy real estate in the USA. and resell for a profit.
Almost- but the deal didnt happen in the end.
  15. Quote:
I sell my car at the price I wish. Its an easy transaction.
    Yes.
  16. Quote:
I rent my apartment at the price I choose, to happy honest tenants who enjoy my place very much. The plumbing works perfectly and so does everything else. Pure joy and comfort.
    Totally happened.
  17. Quote:
I live in a beautiful comfortable quiet spacious affordable apartment.
    Exactly this happened.
  18. Quote:
I work in a studio in an artistic environment which is rent free and granted to me because of the quality of my work.
Yes! This happened 3 times, each for different durations throughout 2011

  19. Quote:
I meet plenty of new curators and collectors ad journalists who present/write about/purchase my work.
Oh yeah. Met LOADS of them
  20. Quote:
I complete my documentary, & receive grants to make it.
Nope, put zero energy into this
  21. Quote:
I make new exciting touching amazing works.
More than Ive ever made in my life in one year.
  22. Quote:
I Look great! Dress well and look better then ever.
Totally. Invested in my looks. Looking better than ever before.
  23. Quote:
I exercise and stay fit and healthy
    Yes
  24. Quote:
    I Walk without pain
    Yes
  25. Quote:
    I stay healthy in 2011!
    Yes
  26. Quote:
After I connect to a man from above, I easily get pregnant and we either get married, or just decide to be committed partners. (Of course it could happen the other way around. First get married then get pregnant...). In 2011 I wish to get pregnant with a healthy baby from a man I love and trust and who loves me too
    Didnt happen yet!
