As I always do around this time of the year, I'm starting to think about next year's focus. This is the first time in a while where I feel really inspired. That inspiration was born out of anger.
I got pissed off a few days ago when it dawned on me that although I'm doing things, I'm not doing things that matter. I spent a lot of time gathering information and not a lot of time putting it to good use. 2011 will be all about using that information and making some real changes.
I had a major shift in perspective after S0S posted a video about how we are a civilization of hate. I found myself nodding my head through most of the video and at the end, I felt like I had cheating myself up until this point. So this years focus will be on the following:

-health
-relationships
-challenges

Three things that I have never put much focus on. More to come on this topic later.

Just to break it down a bit:

Health - this will include exercise and food. If you follow my posts at all, you might notice I talk about these things a lot. What I don't do is different exercises and eat different foods. I stick to the same things. I want to try new sports, new activities and eat all sorts of different food, specifically vegetables and fruit. I eat a very limited range of produce.

Relationships - make the ones I have better and make new connections. I signed up for a nature club and kinda flopped when it came to meeting people. Another thing that's been on my mind is trying new activities with my wife and friends.

Challenges - I'm considering a mega-challenge of not buying "junk" for a whole year. I'm going to do inventory of things that I typically buy and see if it's at all feasible. I know for fact I could go years without video games or books but we shall see. At any rate, I want to accomplish some challenges.

Hmm, Kelly Clarkson, without the Justin dude, without any clothing, that has possibilities. Although it wouldn't be my ass I'd have her rub.

I've become quite the thread de-railer. First s0s's thread about wanting a tribe degraded into talk about Boob Henge, and my voluntary servitude to the Women's Country, and now this....
