 |  Ideas for a Tim Ferris vacation?
I wonder if you have any great, unusual ideas, on how to spend my holidays in a productive way. I am not the kind of person to just lie at the beach or go to a spa. I have been backpacking quite a bit when I younger, but now, I am actually keen on learning a new skill while on vacation. Has anyone done this? Any ideas? Like learning Thai boxing in Thailand, working in a busy pizzeria in southern Italy, going fishing with fishermen on the coast of Vietnam, doing a spiritual retreat etc? I am particularly interested in doing it either in southeast Asia or South-America.

Tim Ferriss doesn't take vacations, you insensitive clod! He takes mini-retirements. Think about a skill you've always wanted to learn. Break-dancing, French, farming. Pick a place where you can learn there for free or really cheap. Get on Couch Surfing and line up some couches. Buy your ticket and pack a few changes of clothes. Don't think about your trip, otherwise. |
