Default 30 day trial accountability buddy wanted!

Hi there,

I study from home and as a result I've devised a daily routine to help me achieve my goals and stay on top of everything. So far I've had moderate success; sometimes I get distracted by minutia or by tasks that could be scheduled for another time.

I want to start a 30 day trial of religiously sticking to my routine so that I can really lock it down into my subconscious. And what better than to start the trial than with a fellow accountability buddy so that we can check in on each other daily, encourage each other and hold each other to account.

If no one wants to join me this time, I'll continue to post updates here for my own motivation. Thank you! Below is the routine:

07:00 Awaken and leave bed
07:10 - 07:40 Meditation
07:40 - 08:30 Visualise my day, affirmations, breakfast, shower
08:30 - 09:00 Study persian
09:00 - 11:00 Study biology
11:00 - 12:00 Study history
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch
12:30 - 13:30 Study history
13:30 - 14:30 Study english
14:30 - 14:45 Small tasks and getting prepared for jogging
14:45 - 15:15 Jogging five days per week
15:15 - 15:30 Rest
15:30 - 17:30 Cleaning and cooking
17:30 - 22:30 Evening tasks: socialising, printing my notes, planning action on my to-do list, reading PD books etc

Many thanks in advance, I love you guys!

I'll be your buddy! I'm doing a 30 day trial of living on inspiration and following intuition instead of thinking things through. Although, were you looking for someone doing the same trial as you?

What about scheduling time for the unpredictable -- for miracles?

I'm not sure which of us that was aimed at, it seems to work for both!

I just realised we're doing complete opposite trials Eliza - I have no schedule or plans at all, and you are completely scheduled!

Yay! That's great! No, you don't have to be doing the same trial as me at all, it would just be nice to pair up with someone and encourage each other along the way

Not sure how you'd measure your progress through, so I can't wait to read your updates, they shall no doubt be fun!

Off to sleep now, I'll check in tomorrow

Good stuff! Yeah progress is completely subjective on this one, can't really put it into numbers but I'll know if there's a difference. In fact there have been results which have come from acting on inspiration and intuition that I... well they wouldn't have happened if I was still planning things and... well it's hard to explain what's going on or if something is going on. I think I'll have a better idea by the end of the month.

I'm also putting updates on this site, so I may repost some of them here unless someone tells me off.

Looking forward to your updates too! As you've already gone to bed I trust you're reading this no earlier than 12:00...

If you time yourself every so often, sooner or later you'll feel jailed in.

I don't know, in my opinion it isn't that fun.

When you've got a big, time-sensitive goal, sometimes it's necessary to devise a schedule to help yourself achieve it. And anyway from 15:30 onwards everyday I can do pretty much whatever I feel like, which ain't bad going.

UPDATE

07:10 - 07:40 Got out of bed a bit late but still had a few mins of meditation
07:40 - 08:30 Done
09:00 - 14:45 I studied biology all day because that's my most hard-core subject and was behind schedule - caught up now though!
14:45 - 15:15 I didn't go jogging!
15:30 - 17:30 Didn't do enough cleaning or cooking - other stuff came up, but wouldn't have been an issue if I'd have been more organised if the first place
17:30 - 22:30 Done

Tomorrow I am hoping to adhere more to my schedule. I had some issues to attend to that I don't anticipate cropping up tomorrow

Nice work, nearly spot on to the schedule there.

How often do you take breaks when studying?
