Question Getting Organized - Finding a "Project Box"

Hi there!

Hope this is the right forum. This is my first post - just a straightforward practical question to break the ice...

I've been inspired by Steve's "Getting Organized" article (http://www.stevepavlina.com/articles...-organized.htm) to... well... get more organized! I am looking to give my clutter a "place", and would love to find something along the lines of the "project box" Steve talks about in the article, but have not been able to find anything quite like it.

Does anyone have any online sites or suggestions that I could look into? I couldn't find anything on the Office Depot site that Steve mentioned, and there is the additional factor that I am UK-based. Maybe there is a better search term that "Project Box" to search for...?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Jacob

Hi Jacob,
I think you could use just about anything as a project box; the important thing is to figure out what you want to organise...it is files/papers, projects that have a lot of bits and pieces attached; and also how much room you have to organise it in (a huge bookshelf might be a great idea to put everything in, but might not be practicial for your environment).

I would recommend a filing cabinet and maybe a couple of storage boxes/tins with labeling on the outside so that what is inside is readily seen. Clear labeling is important (I have lost plenty of files over the years due to poor filing

Maybe check out 'ikea' or look for 'storage solutions' on the web...I am not in the UK, but I would think a lot of the home depot/furniture stores would have something along the lines of what you are looking for.

Many smiles!

Thanks jojo =)

You're right - I need to work backwards from what it is I am organising... I will definitely go with that suggestion - thanks!
