Hello, I know everyone here is focused on their future and improving themselves as much as possible. As we all know the first hour of the day is one of the most important. It is when we have the greatest ability to influence our mind and mood. Our morning routines are therefore extremely important and I thought we should all share what we are doing to become better. Here is my list: I need to leave home at 07.35 every morning. 1. Wake up at 06.00 (gives me 95 minutes for morning preparations). 2. I start by reading my goal paper 3. I visualize their completion – by visualizing and adding the sense of sight and feelings to my goals you greatly increase the effect it has on your future. 4. I then write down everything I need to do during the day 5. Followed by prioritizing the list 6. Write down my top 10 goals 7. A short workout containing 50 push-ups. 8. Start making breakfast 9. Check my email – Not completely right from a time management perspective, but usually I have something interesting in my email which gives me a good start to the day. 10. Eat breakfast and read about personal development or sales/sales management for about 30 minutes 11. Shower, shave, brush teeth, fix hair, perfume, deodorant, get dressed 12. Leave for work at 07.35. What do you do to start your day? |

I especially like your no.9 activity - I know it really helps to get something positive (or just anything) from your friends via e-mail or a messenger early in the day. This kind of support really sets the tone for the whole day. As for me, I've recently decided to correct my features a bit by doing exercises for facial muscles (found in a book by Carol Maddgio (sp?), so my day starts with them (at 6.30 - 7.00, it depends). It energizes me a lot. |

I have to leave home at 6.00am and wake up at 5.00am, so I have only 60 seconds. 1. Wake up and jump to shower 2. Shaving, put lenses on (no first lenses then shaving 3. Quick fitness program including push ups 4. Check mails and write couple messages in forums. 5. Check my work bag, put some lunch there 6. Dress up 7. Get out |

Wake up to talk radio. It's all news until 8:30, which I really like. After 8:30 its a super obnoxious talk show jerk I almost always disagree with, but it gets me fired up and thinking at least. I love music, but when I set my clock radio to music, I tend to lay in bed and listen, and fall back asleep. Shave/brush teeth/shower/get dressed Give dog his morning pills. Play guitar for about 30 minutes. Then walk the dog. I take my dog to work, so after our walk, we go to the car instead of back to the apt. Drive to work, have breakfast at work while reading email. |

I eat something light. Today I ate a thing of corn and the day before that I ate a jam sandwich with only one slice of bread. I feel that warming up your stomach can make for a larger breakfast. The first thing after that is check my email. I only check my email twice a day. Once in the morning, and again in 8 hours. Then after some work, some lolly gaggin, I eat a bigger breakfast and that should be where my day continues. |

Well, here're the things I do each day. 1. Get up at 5.45 in the morning. 2. Do all the basic routine things(brushing, etc) within 6.10 3. Go to the gym and do an intense workout for 30-40 minutes. 4. Coming home home and taking bath, finish eating breakfast; all within 7.20 5.Listening to audio books or sometimes doing pmemory in the 50 minutes of traveling to college. |

Thanks for the idea to evaluate that time of day to see if we can improve for reinforce I am slowly changing my morning routine... Im supposed to be gone by 6:20, I used to wake up at 6:30 and scream obscinities and race to work doing make up in the car and eating at my desk while I check emails and BS news articles. Now Im up by 5:30... Get ready (shower/dress)... Make food... Kiss my love goodbye and I try to do affirmations on my 30 minute drive to work. Its funny, I used to value more sleep over a peaceful morning, but I found that waking up with enough time to stop rushing makes my days so much better and I have more energy. Im not counting down til I can get in bed again. I am not exactly making lists and prioritizing stuff in the AM yet, but Im starting to value that time. Im curious, what makes you say that is the most important time for changing habits etc? |

I wake up at 6:00am as well. This is what I do on a good day ;-) I set that time for myself: - wake up - state my goal - cook a healthy breakfast - make a pot of coffee - plan my day - read - work on my site/or check forums like I am now ;-) - get dressed - head out! Dan PS: I shower and shave before going to bed. It saves time and you feel sleepy after a hot shower. |

MWF - alarm set for 5:20am, snooze til 5:30am, take a quick cold shower, head for 6am yoga, home at 8, hot shower, dress for work, breakfast, quick check of email and facebook, leave by 9am. I go to this class even on holidays or when I am on vacation, just don't do the leaving for work part then. TTh - alarm set for 6:20am, snooze til 6:30am, 11 minute meditation, hot shower, breakfast, quick check of email and facebook, dress for work, leave by 8am Sat - sleep as long as I want, breakfast is usually at noon. Sun - alarm set for 8am, snooze til 8:20am, take a quick cold shower, head for 9am yoga, home at 11, hot shower, dress, breakfast Having this much structure for 6 days means I really appreciate Saturdays! |

Besides the general stuff of breakfast and getting dressed, every morning I usually pray, read a positive story or short essay (like a blog post) and do the "Mirror Exercise", which is basically to talk to myself in the mirror about what my most important tasks are for the day and to kinda just pump myself up. I would like to exercise in the morning, but I generally don't. Actually, most of my exercise comes between 11pm and midnight, which is when I play tennis, or go running, etc. |

Get up at 5. Do the minimum to get ready- dress, get food together and get motorbike clothes on, then leave at 5:15. Get to work just before 6. Coffee and start work. When I say it like that, it really sounds sucky! |

Really depends on the day... but most days think in bed a while, get up ,eat, then it could go towards getting to the farm as quick as possible(likely in summer)or as in now have tea while waiting for the frost to melt away and look at my on line addicitions (such as this one) sometimes doing my books, or sorting vegetables or what have you... Every day is different and I am not a big creature of habit.. like t shake things up a bit...
