MrSam is on a distinguished road
Default Sam's new blog. Worth a read I think.

Today I received Seth Godins book Tribes.

I have decided to start reading a list of books which Josh Kaufman has published on his website. Check out my blog for more details about reading this list.

After more or less 60 pages of Godins book I realised that my main fear was that I'd be rejected because I'm 16 and "still a boy".

But that's Archaic thinking. In this world success now comes from challenging the status quo, doing things differently.

So I thought what is more different than a 16 year old guy going into social media and all the cool stuff around online businesses, I'm nowhere near having a business quite yet, but I'm getting going having a blog and a twitter account. I'll probably set up a Facebook account solely around my blog. =)

Hope you support me, I'll use this page as my journal/ keep you posted page, from now on.

Thanks for reading, bye.

GREAT!

You are official in my Google reader account...I check it everyday so you better start writing!!!

Anyway I also want to start a blog about programming (I'm studying that in college). I have a question for you:

Why is that!? I've always wanted a blog but honestly I never find enough reasons to start/maintain one. Specially I'm always in an internal debate about making a portfolio/blog or just a common blog....the main difference I think is that in the portfolio/blog I could write only about programming related stuff...and in the other one about everything...maybe I should make them both

OK, I'll be on it once I've finished the book.

I think that's awesome! Programming is pretty cool, I've done a bit of basic stuff in C myself. I just don't want to get into it cause programming is my dads thing.

In this book I'm reading, Seth Godin explains how anyone in todays world willing to lead can lead.I'd advise you to read the book, because it pushed me beyond the stage of hesitation. ( " Should I write about health? Should I write about business? I'm only sixteen who's gonna listen?" et cetera)
The thing I learned was leaders don't do nothing. So even if my blog doesn't amount to anything. I'd have the merit to say that I went for it.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement AlmostGodess. If reading my post led you to buying this book and you came to get something valuable from the book, then my blog is already a success for me.

I love the idea for your blog! And that first quote from Tribes makes me really glad, yet again, that we're unschoolers.

Yay! To you, for not letting societal expectations get in your way! It's YOUR life!!

Oh and also if there is a book you'd like me to read and post a review about, just send me a message asking for any book I haven't yet read from The 99 Best Business Books – The Personal MBA - The Personal MBA and I'll have it read in 1-3 weeks. You can also ask questions about the book which I'll answer. And I wont forget to link your website in the blog post.

This was the first PD book I have ever read. It was one of the first PD books which entered the USSR market. This is why this book is really special to me.

"I never thought that someone could know so much about human relations in 1937" - I laughed when I read this

Good luck with your readings!
