Cool Introducing Teamly - a new people management and productivity tool

I am the founder and CEO of Teamly, and we are looking for beta testers to try our new product and I thought some people on this forum might be interested in taking a look?

Teamly is a new kind of productivity tool that helps you move beyond your mile-long to-do list and focus on the truly important stuff—your top 5 priorities for the day, week and month.

Teamly is a productivity and team management SaaS web app that helps make people more focused and effective, and businesses more successful. It makes users think about what is really important in their companies, commit to these priorities and then share these for review by their manager and team-mates. It combines priority and goal setting for the individual with real-time information on staff for managers, and combined we think this is a unique combination.

If you would like to find out more or to try it, visit the Teamly website

I would welcome any comments, suggestions or feedback.

Regards
Scott

Hi Scott,

What demographic are you aiming at? Who's your target audience?
I guess it depends as to where along the long road you place the product, from a simple web based to do list to an organiser or to a fully fledged project management app or anywhere inside that triangle.
I think once you have your target in mind you can cater to their needs.

The target audience is entrepreneurs and managers in small and medium sized businesses. Teamly is a tool that helps them manage their most expensive resource, their people. But Teamly is just as useful for the individual, as it helps them move beyond their mile long to-do list and focus on what's really important, and lets them understand what their colleagues are working on as well.

Scott, this definitely looks like something that I could use, so I signed up.

It says on the site that it can be used with ANY smartphone....if I've got an Iphone, is there an app for this or do I just use the Internet?

Thanks, seems like a really promising product.

Thanks for trying Teamly!

We don't yet have dedicated apps. As Teamly is still in beta we've concentrated on making a good web experience first. Phone support is on the list and coming soon though!

So as a web app, that means it can be used by any phone with web access?

I guess with your target demographic your competition is mainly outlook which can be used to do the same thing but also synchs with most phones and has calendar/email, but it takes a lot of reading to make it useful to help manage employees.

I liked the idea on your site that it can me managed by email. I guess the main things I was thinking about is for managers to be able to capture their thoughts closest to the time they occur. If they are not in the office at the time but have web access on their phone they won't need to remember it until they get back to the office.
Also the idea of being able to email a new task to the app sounded great. As they are reading their email, just forward to the app to create a task, is that how that's aspect is going to work?

Yes, that is exactly how we envisage it working and I completely agree with your example.
