I noticed quite a few threads on people making challenges or quests for themselves and reporting on it, like "30 days stay fit challenge", etc... These threads are somewhat dispersed all over the place. I envision this to be quite beneficial good habit and discipline building tool for the person + inspiring for others to grow. Wouldn't it be nice to have a separate forum just for challenges/quests? Tomorrow is June 1 and I want to post my own challenge! Gleb |

Sounds like a fantastic idea. I agree to this! Also seems like it could have potential for 'official' (so to speak) group challenges of X Y Z 30 day goals and whatnot hosted by the forum. It could be a fantastic motivational boost and a starting point for people (like myself) who don't know where to start to give something a go at. |

At the moment 30 day challenges about health are in the health section, emotional in the emotion section etc. That way people who are interested in health can see the health section for the 30 day challenges. What would be some good reasons (besides; I'd like it |

What would be beneficial, I think, is improving the search function on this forum. That way, you could just search for "30 day" and whatever keyword you are interested in. The way it is now, I could search for pineapple cherry pie and end up with forum posts about the law of attraction and world health problems. I noticed the same with most forums. I don't even know if the " " work, so that you can search for a specific phrase, and the relevancy criteria seems to be almost nonexistent. When you search for a specific blog post discussion, even if you type the name of the post, steve pavlina and "blog", sometimes you still end up with banana pie law of attraction productivity posts |

PS: I just posted a 40 days personal quest in another subforum, so searching for "30 days" won't help much. Gleb

Can you post some compelling arguments why it would be more beneficial in a separate subforum, instead of every subject in its own theme?

So it seems to be popular sector of activity. Sort of like online "gym".

I would also like to see a challenges sub-forum, but for different reasons than the OP mentioned. For the most part I prefer the discussion threads to the challenge threads. It would be nice to not have to sort through challenge threads that are updated daily when looking for discussion threads. Also, I might actually be more willing to start a challenge thread for the accountability benefits it would provide if I didn't feel like daily updates were going to be an annoyance to other forum members. |

If you want to read about challenges in the health section or character section, you have to kind of ''look for'' them among other threads. With a challenges sub-forum, you go in and have them all in one place. People could specify in the thread title (put it in brackets?) which ''area/theme'' they are doing their challenge in, maybe that would also make it easier for other people to identify quicker which thread/challenge they'd be interested in reading. I like the idea too! For one, having all such challenges in their own space would make it an easier place to search for people who want to start their own challenges. It's also more motivating for those who are undergoing challenges to be able to read other people's challenges (even those whose challenges are in different fields). It's certainly easier than having to "search" for them. I think, also, there are people who would be more comfortable starting their own challenge and posting it, if there's a whole sub-forum of other people posting their own challenges! I undergo "personal" challenges all the time, but I've never actually posted them in a public forum. Partly because I'm not sure everybody wants to read about *my* challenges! |

I agree that having emotional challenges in the emotional section, personal effectivness in personal efectiveness section, health in health section, doesn't look that good. Having a section allocated to challenges, journals, and that sort of stuff, would clear up the other boards, easying the process of searching and getting information of information/questions discussion threads. To my mind that alone is enough to have a seperate forum. |
