Default Papel for GTD

I have been experimenting with this tool the past couple of days and am beginning to wonder if it might be useful with organizing your own GTD system.

I like the idea of visually laying out my individual written components and being able to easily alter their relationships.

Better hurry and download the tool. Apparently the author is going to discontinue the site sometime in late Novemember.

Weeeeiiiiiird. Works fine for me in Opera, though.

Thanks for the link. Does anyone know of a similar program that's open source?

Open source? No, I don't know of any. Action Outline has a "lite" version, though it is somewhat limited from its retail version. I actually preffer one of the limits: only 7 'child' elements on each node, because it forces me to think in terms of the depth of the project, rather than width.

Let me rephrase my question: Does anyone know of a similar program that's Linux-compatible? I'm not so concerned about the "free" or the "open" part so much as the "cross-platform" part. Thanks.

This looks interesting - kind of a mind-mapping concept but using it as a way of organising linked information. (The website does seem to be tempermental though - the links worked the first time but then I just got page time-outs after that!)

I can vouch for ActionOutline. I've used this for quite a while now. I've found it to be very versatile; I use it as a sort of personal knowledge bank for storing and organising bits of information as well as managing todo lists and goals. I haven't used it for GTD specifically but it would be a perfect tool for it. Check it out (link above), the full version is only 40 bucks!

I love mindmaps, and Papel looks like a cool software to play with. Thanks for the link

I've decided to use this software for 30 days while sitting in Tulip, my personal development chair.

Today I bought my personal development chair.

You should check out Tracks. It's a little geeky (meaning a bit more technical to set up), but if you're using Linux, you probably have enough geek to do it.
