My name is Lacey, but I go by Burke. I've been actively working as a self-employed freelance writer since July of 2009. I'm also a busy wife and mother of three. I spend the majority of my time taking care of my family. This is a necessity. However, it often leaves me exhausted and frazzled at the end of the day, which makes it very difficult for me to get work done. I've been trying to work towards my goals on my own, but I'm encountering a lot of resistance. I think having a mentor or guide of some sort - someone to encourage, nag, challenge, and push me - would really help me to become more productive. I've found that I do my best work when I'm held accountable by someone I respect. Someone who is interested in and knowledgeable about the 'spiritual millionaire' philosophy - such as the topics covered here on Steve's site, as well as books by Joe Vitale and others - would be excellent, as I can use them as a source of inspiration and education as well as encouragement. I guess what I'm really looking for is a friendly, slightly competitive business agreement with someone further along on the path of self-development. Someone I can share my weekly/monthly goals with, who will prod me into getting things done. Is this possible? Do you have any alternate ideas (such as a free software program that can do the same, techniques to increase concentration / reduce stress, methods of motivation)? Do you have suggestions? Have you had this problem? Should I be giving more information? Thanks for any help you can offer.. |
