Writing my diploma thesis, need effectiveness

So, I'm finishing my college study and I just have to write this paper in the next months and I'm done.

Now the problem is, that I haven't been doing pretty much any school/college work for two years now, and I'm kinda "out of shape"... So when I sit down to write stuff my focus is all over the place and I'm working way too slow to finish this in the required time. I have about two months. I know I can do it if I just get it together.
My problem is also that the subject matter is not what I'm very passionate about, but I still want to finish something that I started, because I'm too close to give up now.

Any tips would be welcome.

Get a study buddy - someone who has a piece of work of roughly the same size and level as yours (doesn't have to be the same subject at all) and provide accountability to each other with a - probably daily to start with, then less frequent - 'to do' and 'ta da' list of things you have to do and the approx time they will take.

This worked for me when I was stuck trying to write up my research. I met someone on a household organization forum who was also trying to write up her doctoral thesis - mine was in space physics, hers was in sociology - wildly different areas, yet we wrote our action plans out every few days and reported in to each other on progress and 'excuses' for not meeting some item and what we were going to do about it.

We kept this up for several months until we had both got over our major hurdles and got in to the swing of things again.
