I don't analyse my beliefs, but I analyse results. If I'm missing results in my life, I chuck whatever belief is preventing me from those results and try something new. I've tried brooding over my beliefs, but it never did me any good. Foresight is never good as hindsight, and logic is greatly endangered by any small fallacy. Listening to my intuition guides my actions just as good, if not better. It also puts me straight into action. Furthermore, my intuition uproots some of my ego and stops the ego from saying "Hey, bro! You can't get those results! That isn't me! What do you think you're doing?" In a sense, my intuition observes my current beliefs and tells me later which ones need to go and which ones need to stay but only when necessary, if that answers the question. |

Yes, This is more empowering, instead of giving power to logic, Its better to use Intuition Instead. Quote:

James 81 has given a very sensible answer. Very few people question or analyze their beliefs. After all, why would they believe anything they are in doubt about? Also it seems that as soon as you attach certain labels to a belief- e.g. "religious", "Highly conscious" or whatever- you are less likely to accept the belief may be in error. It's almost impossible to sensibly challenge the belief of others. At least the technique James uses allows for an awareness of a belief in the first place and then a chance to take action from there. |

I usually do not actively attempt to analyze my beliefs. Most often I read or hear something that makes me question or at least think about my belief, which then leads to me analyzing the belief in detail. This is one of the primary reasons I read these forums. I find that the topics covered, and the opinions presented vary so greatly that I regularly find a post that causes me to analyze my own beliefs on the topic. This has happened to me a couple of times in just the path month or so.
