Default What is more important? Success or attempt?

In many societies today there is one powerful fear. Fear of failure.

But the question is whether something like a "personal failure" even exists?

Of course not. You can fail, but that does not mean anything. This does not mean that you are fail as person, it just means that you have not achieved something as you like.

On the other hand, I prefer to look at it like this:

Attempt, effort, try = success.

NOT

the way I want things to be = success

This is one of the most powerful formula in my life!

It helped me to learn from the negative financial situation, and to find the relationship I want, as in many other things.

What is more important to you? Success or attempt?

i believe an attempt can equal success. Just depends on how many attempts you are willing to take and etc.

the (Ancient) Chinese bore the GOAL in mind - success whatever the means to reach your goal
=> Art of War
the (Ancient) Japanese bore the PATH in mind - success is already achieved by setting out Selflessly on the Way
=> Hagakure

of course, is a "shameless" generalization, just to make my point

do you HAVE TO choose, or can you embrace BOTH views ??.
that s what i am currently trying to find out
