Hello, With my brief experience with this site, I find myself becoming more dependent and second guessing myself. I find myself trying to recall something Steve had written in an article about time management, or self-discipline etc. and trying to figure out what Steve would do in this situation. I find this change to be quite disturbing. Any insights would be appreciated! |

Ooh yeah, don't do that. Don't become addicted to someone else's wisdom. When you read advice from anyone, I'd suggest you think about it and how it applies to your own life, your own understanding, things you've found for yourself to be true. Then try out any new ideas and if they work for you, continue using them. What works for others may work horribly for you. I've read some time management techniques that I thought were awful when I tried them for myself. The question we should ask ourselves is, "What would I do?" Not what would Steve do, or what would Jesus do, etc. |

No matter how useful is information from this site, or any other site, books, etc. it is just a help on a path of positive growth. You are the chief of your life. This site is useful, however, that does not mean that we should depend on it. Stiv site is only a assistance to our personal development journey. Yes, here you can find, probably the best information about many topics. But that does not mean that they will lead to positive changes. It will not be nobody but yourself. You are responsible for your life. |

Thank you guys! I know the truth of what you say... but it's almost like every time you refer to this site your subconscious learns: you are not capable of resolving your own challenges. Steve has a better answer than you do. But thank you - your warmth definitely was very appreciated =) |

all knowledge is self taught What does that mean? aka translate? Okay, thank you very much It means that any knowledge you take on.. you teach yourself.. your just letting "steve" or me or "garentee" Understand that the knowledge you accept, the knowledge that resonates.. was taught to you by yourself.. you came seeking empowerment, knowledge etc. and law of attraction delivered it to you via the source you choose to allow/resonate..

Remember one thing steve if for you. even Buddha, Jesus, Krishna they are for you so take help and give help to others. Also its not all about tools, technioque and perceptions, knowledge, beliefs but its about change and that comes from you only.. Do let me know after studing all this, what difference you make in yourlife? It has to be measurable, Have you made $100000? Have you got desired partner? Have you lose 50 pounds? Are you more happy consitently? Are you changing your career? have you touch and inspired atleast 1000 life? if not you are just having feel good factor nothing else. NO Real growth. Quote:

So, one thing that I experienced similar to your experience is that I just kept reading and reading Steve's articles when I first found the website, and I wanted to learn as much as possible. But I was at a point of paralysis in my life, and while Steve's posts made me feel inspired and closer to action, I wasn't quite there. And then it occurred to me that I was feeling dependent on input from outside. But that's largely because I had yet to implement any of what I read. Secondly, I had been into meditation, but I didn't have the discipline to meditate much at all on my own. Well, I asked myself, if all these resources, if the internet, if the community around me, if books and everything were to disappear... what would I do? Would I be utterly dependent and then suffer horribly? Was there anything I could do to free myself from this total dependence? The only thing I could think of was meditation, that self-contained art. So I started meditating every day, and it has been a wondrous anchor in my life. It gives me a great sense of autonomy. Now, any moment I would be bored and have nothing productive to do, I can meditate.
