Are you referring to trying to understand and feel the consequences of not achieving your goal? If so, I agree completely. I find for me personally that "avoidance of pain" is a greater motivator than anything else... So basically if it's "do or die" (metaphorically) then I'll almost always "do". But in taking it to the extent where I feel horrible is where my personal problem lies, because I keep "imagining" what will happen if I don't achieve my goal and this makes me stress out ridiculously many times a day...

yes i am talking about consequences of not achieving your goal But longterm and extreme level. and not the very short term and trivial. Quote:
