Since finishing my first 30-day visualization trial I'm looking to see how far I can go with this so I want to do another 30-day trial. My three goals for this trial are 1) Waking up at 6:00am 2) Writing for 2 hours 3) Visualizing for 20 minutes I think all doing all three of these will push me without overwhelming me. Day 1 - Finished all three. Waking up at 6:00am was NOT easy and I really wanted to go back to sleep even after I had been awake for 20 minutes. BUT I gotta say it really felt good waking up that early. Writing for 2 hours was brutal. There were lots of distractions, people interrupting and I kept feeling like stopping, so I had to break it up in pieces. I wrote in the morning for 45min, 20min + 10min in the middle of the day, then 45 minutes at night. Ideally I'd like to get it all done before noon so I don't have to be concerned about it all day. I'll see what I can do tomorrow. Fyi: I didn't mention this in the original post but I want to write for 2 hours with the internet disconnected. Visualization - This was super easy. It's probably the easiest part of this trial for me now. |

What are you visualizing? Visualization is not a panacea. Action is more important than self-reflection a lot of the time.

I visualize different goals I have as recommended here by Steve. People keeping advising me to stop visualizing and start taking action. That advice comes from the assumption that visualization = no action. I don't see it as an either/or thing though. What I've noticed is that visualization motivates me take more action overall with greater clarity, focus, and effectiveness. |

| Day 2 - Finished all three. I finished earlier this time too. The hardest part of this by far is the writing. I broke it down into two chunks this time which is better than last time. An hour in the morning (7am) and an hour at night (7pm). I actually rough drafted about 3-4 blog entries over the past 2 days. That really feels nice seeing as before I was struggling to just write one a week. I guess the answer is just consistently giving yourself focus and time specifically for writing. |

| Day 3 - Finished all three Waking up is getting easier when I actually go to bed at a reasonable hour. I broke writing up into a lot of pieces today. One hour in the morning and a lot of 5-10 minute intervals after that. But I got it done. I'm thinking I should add in an extra hour for editing. Visualization was easy. |

| Day 4 - Done with all three So far I've been breaking up the 2 hours of writing into different intervals. Some may be an hour, others may be 10 or 20min each. Tomorrow I'm just going to push through and write for two hours straight in the morning. No interruptions, no broken intervals. I'm glad that I'm writing two hours and that I've stuck with it but writing like this takes over too much of the day, so I'd rather just get it over with all at once. | Day 5 - Finished all three - before noon! Wow. I dont' think I've ever pushed myself that hard mentally. I wrote from 9:50-11:50am straight without ever stopping. If I didn't have anything to write then I just made up an affirmation to keep typing. I typed 6200 words but I would say 1500-2000 are the word I. It felt good to get that done so early. |

| Day 7 - Finished all three pretty easily. I've decided to add another part to the challenge. I want to cut out all the processed starches and foods containing refined sugars out of my diet. I tried doing this before and couldn't make it past week 2, but really saw some benefits (loss of 15 pounds) so I know if I can get to week three it should get easier. Today is my second day doing it and it's been really tough already.

| Day 10 - Finished all three and just finished the writing. The best part of this trial - visualizing. Somehow visualizing has gotten really good. I find myself doing it for 35-40 minutes. It feels good to be living the life of your dreams or a part of it now. The most challenging part of this trial - no processed foods or foods with refined sugars. This is hard but I know it will benefit me if I can release this addiction I have to them. |

| Day 14 - Finished it all. I wrote for two hours straight and I'm glad I didn't do it towards the end of the day. It feels so good to know this is actually working. The numbers for the blog are going up, the numbers on the scale are going down, and I know I'm getting closer to what I'm visualizing.

| Day 15 - Finished it all and feeling great. I've lost 8.5 pounds because of the diet change, feel a lot better throughout the day because of visualization, have plenty of content for the blog because of the writing, and feel like I have more hours in the day because I wake up at 6. Can't wait till next month.

| Day 16 - Finished! Very intense sugar cravings today. I don't know whether this was ok or not but I drank some pasturized pineapple and coconut juice. Damn that was good. It had no added sugar or preservatives or gluten in it and only had 4-5 ingredients so I don't think it was that bad though.

I think it's very brave of you to post your daily output like this. So kudos for that, and best of luck with continuing on the right track! Wesley Craig Green

| Day 18 - Just finished it all. Sugar cravings are pretty bad. I wonder how things are going to be in two days. I've done this diet change before and made it to the 2 week mark before the cravings took over. Writing is freakin brutal still, especially since I procrastinate on it and wait until 9-10pm to do the majority of it. I probably should have started with one hour first, but hey, it's a learning process. |

| Day 19 - Finished! And earlier than usual too. Visualization was pretty good today. I tried some new stuff out with it. I mostly wrote affirmations for the writing part. I wrote "I am an extremely talented writer" about 700 times. Glad to be finished with this early. |

I'm tired of writing." Anyway, sounds like you're doing well. Your site has a nice design too, btw. Keep it up man. Giving up sugar is hard. I'm able to give up caffeine with minimal effort but sugar... woo... | |

Hey thanks so much for the support Daffy. I actually got that idea from this post on how to become a better writer. During the two hours I don't always have stuff to write about so to keep me from just sitting there I figured why not write some affirmations. Usually while I'm doing that I'll find something else to write about too. As for the sugar, it did take me watching a lot of videos, reading, and listening to understand how damaging it was to the body. I never really got into drinking anything with caffeine or alcohol or any other drugs. I figured I had enough problems with the processed food and sugar addictions. |

| Day 20 - Finished it all. Later than I would have liked but it's all good. During the writing I was listening to It's Never Crowded Along the Extra Mile by Wayne Dyer. Writing while listening to this seemed to make the writing go much faster and I learned a lot in the process.

| Day 22 - Finished about 3-4 hours ago. Feels good to have the writing part (the hardest part for me) done early. Sugar cravings are starting to die down, but they come in waves so I'll have to give it more time to see if I've truly weathered the storm.
