think about some things that you may be able to do that others may not be able to do. they may range from interesting to amazing. please list them here. examples: I can solve a rubiks cube in a couple of minutes. it's actually pretty easy when you know how to do it. I can run a marathon. (i can't, but that would be interesting) I can memorize pi to the 100th decimal place in 20 minutes. (i also can't do that) |

I can solve a rubiks cube in 2 minutes using CoolBee's Patented Direct No Pfaffing Approach (and a sharp nail file I did used to know Pi to 216 decimal places - it used to be my party piece when I was a sprog. Can't run a marathon. |

Okay... so I love it this far. I would love to see this list continue. There is actually a point behind this post too... Basically I was watching some YouTube videos of "magic trick" type *maybe illusions?*... I was puzzled by a lot of them. I wondered if it was truly psychological analyses, or whether it was just a cheap trick involving lies and such. Got me thinking about some of the pretty cool things I've learned how to do... the kind of thing that amazes you when you learn it, but afterward you realize that anyone can do it. My theory is that if everyone keeps throwing those kinds of things on this list, others can see what is actually possible... and I'm a firm believer in "if he can do it, I can too" Maybe We'll get lucky and find a polyphasic or two, and some other interesting stuff like that. Keep it up! | ||||

I can hear fully formed complex music that is spontaneously created in my mind. It's very challenging to take that and actualize it into recorded or notated music, but it's very fun. I can hear an existing song and play it back on guitar, piano, whatever (I can't read music...yet) I can synthesize sound, make beats, and have a great understanding of rhythm. I can run a marathon, but seeing as the last one I ran I came 4000 and something it's not really a unique talent. I have a real knack for memorising obscure movie/TV quotes.

I can speak backwards. You can give me any word, no matter how long, and I can immediately turn it backwards. I can also say sentences backwards. It's a nice party trick. When people find out I can speak backwards, they're trying to come up with the longest and hardest words they can. They often laugh when I can say backwards the kind of words they have troubles with forward! So far, I've been doing it in Finnish only (my native language) but I can do it with some simple English words and sentences, too... and am practicing to learn more! |

I have very flexible fingers. I can hold any finger of either left or right hand straight and bend only my distal phalanx (the point of the finger) at a 90 degree angle. It's a bit freaky and people think it looks like I just broke my fingers I can also spin a basketball on a finger. I can remember weird things from my childhood, like a long historical poem I learned for school at 12 years old, I remember eating soap when I was maybe a few years old (and the taste of it), I remember when I was 2 and a piece of glass pierced through my hand (the pain, the doctor stitching the palm), I even remember being a newborn and how fun it was being pushed around outside in my blue stroller, looking up at the sky and clouds, I remember being in my baby crib. When I was a kid I was absolutely sure I had memories that weren't from this life, but now I forgot most of them.

I have wicked diligence. I learned the meanings of 2000 Chinese characters in two weeks (roughly 140 a day) with ~80% retention at the end of the two weeks. But anyone can do that if they apply themselves, so my second feat is being able to talk in a completely female voice. (I'm male by the way, otherwise it wouldn't be much of a feat!) |

I can invent new things very easily. (as an example, I invented the picture frame for digital pictures about 2 years before they were in the store, all in my head of course) Sometimes they are based in this reality, most of the times they are not. I am also very good in thinking outside of the box (but I do have trouble thinking inside the box, I don´t really do Normal). I think it all comes down to having a very active imagination.

I can do huge arithmetic calculations in my head. Too bad they already invented the calculator, otherwise the skill would be very valuable... although it still is, because it allows me to understand numbers when they're in context of a larger equation much better.

There are lots of awesome posts in here so far. Definitely working out better than I'd planned. Keep it up, I'm sure I'm not the only one inspired by some of these incredible testimonials! Also, some of you may want to include more details. Some of the vaguities such as "I'm really good at x" may take away from the nature of the point you're trying to get across. Maybe try "I'm really good at x, for instance, I once did abc". |

I'm really good at spelling - I can look at an unusual spelling once, and remember how to spell that word, because I'm a visual thinker so I spell words by remembering the letters rather than sounding it out. For the same reason above, I'm really good at recognizing incorrect homophone usage - such as mixing up your/you're, their/there/they're, etc. I'm naturally pretty flexible. I used to be able to touch my forehead to my toes, keeping my legs straight. I can make a 3-leaf clover with my tongue. I'm really good at thinking of a musical melody in terms of scale degrees, and I can extemporaneously sing harmonies along to pop/rock songs, even if I've only heard the song once. |

i'm often very good at imagining where someone is coming from instead of taking sides. example: though i do not agree with the violence and maltreatment, i do not think Hitler was 'evil' because that is a subjective situation and based on *his own perception*, he was doing right. i am physically quite flexible even though i have not danced for several years. sometimes i get babies to settle down by telepathically asking them to. i have been able to demonstrate aspects of physics through poetry, such as writing a poem that demonstrates Wave/Particle Duality. one time i was able to relieve a girl's upset stomach with my hands and intention. |

I can memorize number with up to 1000 digits and recite it backwards, memorize few hundreds of random words, + some other tricks with memory. That's the most advanced thing I can do. Other things I'm good at are: selling, marketing and manipulating, practical psychology, strategic thinking, creative thinking and sleeping.
