2)I take no naps. 3)I work 6 days a week, usually from 5pm-11pm. I hike most every day, and drive alot. 4)I exercise most everyday, with some exceptions. I hike alot, rock climb, do alot of bodyweight exercises(pullups, pushups, etc.), some weight training. Very little prolonged cardio such as running, much healthier to do light sprints, and besides hiking, and rock climbing work your cardio system just as well if not better. 5)I feel great about my sleeping habit. No need to change anything. 6) I'm a night owl, and usually go to sleep around 5-6 am, and wake around 2pm.

get average of 6 hrs per night....prefer an sometimes get 7-8 sitting in front of computer, paper work, phone all day...try to get up and move around as much as possible. only nap if i am sick...if i nap when i am tired when not my usual bedtime, usually feel drugged and groggy and can't wake up. so no, don't nap. i do exercise regularly, a few hours before bedtime. would like to get more sleep because i know lack of it can shorten your life and the abnormal levels of insulin, cortisol, etc can affect weight. usually exhausted enough to fall asleep very quickly, rotate various sleep aides to assure (most of time) no wee hour wakenings. keep walkman nearby....like voices/music to sleep with/by would love to wake up naturally rather than alarm...feels so much better. usually once i'm up, i'm up |

1. how many hours do you sleep a day? lately has been 8-9 hours, my optimum amount is usually 7.5 hours 2. do you usually take naps in the day? not usually, and when i do i try to make it only a 20 minute nap so i don't finish in the middle of the sleep cycle (leads to a groggy feeling when that happens) 3. what are your activity during the day? computer work, studying, driving, sitting in a classroom 4. do you exercise regularly? if yes, what do you do for exercise and how often you do it? i take brisk walks once a day, and i sometimes run around with dogs in the backyard once or twice a day 5. how do you feel about your current sleeping habit right now? do you feel you need more rest or you feel having enough sleep? lately i feel like i probably actually need more sleep, but more than 8-9 hours feels wrong somehow. i get 8-9 hours but still feel tired (this is related to a spiritual issue) 6. anything else about your sleeping patterns? i'm a night owl. sometimes i don't go to sleep until 3-4am. |

1. On work days , 5 hours. Weekends-8. 2. Almost never. 3. work (sometimes I spend the whole day in one place and sometimes I visit different clients, so I run around), when I get back home I work on my other project so I spend that time behind a computer. 4. Yes, 5-6 days a week I ride my stationery bike in the morning, trying to get back on track with the gym as well. 5. I feel I need more rest, 6- 6.5 at least. 6. I'm a night owl too, so getting to bed earlier is sometimes tricky.

1. how many hours do you sleep a day? 6-7 Hrs 2. do you usually take naps in the day? No, they really throw my cycle off. 3. what are your activity during the day? mostly PC work, but I am a bouncer, up and down the halls, zoom everywhere I go, I don't sit still for long, and am usually moving even while sitting. 4. do you exercise regularly? if yes, what do you do for exercise and how often you do it? I go in phases, one month of daily exercise, a month of procrastinating. Usually yoga and pilates, and when I do this, my energy and sleep quality is better. 5. how do you feel about your current sleeping habit right now? do you feel you need more rest or you feel having enough sleep? I have let my weekends slack a bit, staying up later, sleeping in, working on getting back to waking at the same time 7 days a week. 7 hrs is my ideal sleep need. 6. anything else about your sleeping patterns? When I wake same time 7 days a week, I am at my most productive levels, period. I removed the TV from our room 3 years ago, best thing I ever did to improve our sleep. I recently organized a reading room as well so I don't read in bed either. I am asleep within minutes if not less of hitting the pillow with these changes. |

2. rarely nap but when I do it would be early afternoon for 7-10 min. I'm the catnap queen - wake up totally feeling refreshed! 3. working from home so not much outside of the house 4. Yes - 1-3 hrs - 5 days/wk...walking, biking, strength training, pilates and abs - I'm currently doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred workout for 30 days in a row (with that I'm doing 5 other cardio/wk and 2 pilates/wk) 5. I feel that my current sleeping is good, but I toy with the idea of trying for less so I have more time to commit to work efforts. You're welcome - glad to help!
