To enforce my internal motivation and help others same as others blogs helping me I start my 30 days trial with blog on this forum. Here are my goals for 30 days. 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! 2. No Alcohol in any forms 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends 7. 3 times per week visit gym Today is my 30 day (I have back counting system, in other words today day 1 My time watch was for 5.10 but I woke at least a half an hour before, so I feel not to brake target 6, but today I will change my two alarms. Yesterday was one day trial for target 1, this was tough, as daily I drink 15-20 cups of cofee addictive I am, also as scares me (symptoms of addiction) so this is another point of motivation to get rid of it. Next record in log tommorow morning! P.S. Appreciate you could read it regardless grammar and spelling mistakes, I am not an english native speaker. |

Hi Aleksey, I sincerely hope you will be able to accomplish your goal (if you don't, try to analyze why you didn't manage to stick to your goal and try to work on it during your next attempt). It feels you are trying to accomplish a lot in one go. Maybe you should consider focusing on one habit at a time (the coffee one for example?). I am currently developing a facebook application to help people stay motivated and focused on their goals. It is free, no ads, no affiliates, I am not trying to sell anything, I simply want to know if my new application can help you stay motivated, and if not, how I can improve it. For example, you can write your goal logs in the application, people can become your supporters and you can also share this goal with your friends (but you don't have to). DAY 29 (report for day 30 and morning of day 29) This morning I was impatient to type in results of my first day, here they are 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! Yes, this is done, feel bad, but courage, one time go to office kitchen put the coffee and start puring water and then like wake up, come on, what are you doing and throw it to garbage can (colleagus was surprised)! I have explained that going to stop coffee, here it is, another motivation point, now they watching me 2. No Alcohol in any forms Easily done. 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day Actually I have spent about 90 minutes yesterday, but today I am going to stick only to one hour, including in to that time creation of this message, journaly was done yesterday, now looks very ugly 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job Done but with out Time management records, feel that I was stuck to time, but today going to record every minute and calculate later today 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) NOT DONE, I came to home last night, redress (I wear suite, company policy), talk to wife, had supper, read a book and fall a sleep. Looks like I am with in "home" pattern, today will redress, do my 20 minutes then stick to above schedule 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends Even exceed expectations, put my alarm on 4.00, then follow to schedule 4.00-4.30 Shaving, brush teeth, WC, prepare bag for gym, dress, put Stive Pavlina audio files on downloading and get out of home 4.30-5.30 GYM (building next to my home, 1.5 minute to walk so time was not considered), did pretty hard, got weight measure 98.4, 3 month when I start was 106, and then shower and back to home 5.30-6.00 pack for work, put my suite 6.00 Jump to bus and on way to work..... 7. 3 times per week visit gym Well, I did it today, and looks like I have to go tommorow and on saturday to accomplish my goal What is important to me, that I am planning, following and reporting in this blog absolutely cool headed, with out any short time passion emotions, and I believe this is the key to accomplish my 30 day trial with success And Thank you for all supporting words!!! |

Day 28, Normally I have stop my plan on next day, now I have third day and still stick to my goals, Thank you Steve for your 30 days trial idea 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! Done, much easer than first day, feels sleepy, less industrial afternoon but still ok, and believe will over come it in few days. 2. No Alcohol in any forms Done, some how had a strong desire to have a bottle of beer but remind my self that it will be pitty to violate my goals. 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day Done, but again, a bit more then 1 hour. 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job Done, again, no Time management, looks like it is going to be a skill I need to develop asap. 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) NOT DONE, again, my home pattern too strong, today will talk to my wife and request her to kick me to excercises once I change clothes and do not allow to have supper. First look on pattern makes feeling that easy to brake but in reality very very hard. I am not going to give up, will see what I have in tommorow's blog 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends I was up at 4.00, and very happy with all this amount of time I have, I do lay in bed at 10.00, so I have 6 hours sleeping. 7. 3 times per week visit gym DONE, today I was in gym, and will go tommorow, so the goal accomplished for tommorow. Day 27, 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! DONE, just staying away of coffee and drink tea with sugar 2. No Alcohol in any forms DONE, no problems 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day DONE, but I am spending a bit more time, probably need to revise 1 hour to 1.5 hour 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job DONE, again, loosing control over records in my TM log, no idea for now how to enforce it 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) NOT DONE, still pattern, come to home and it's like big switch coming off, hope through week ends I will establish habit 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends DONE, again at 4.00 which in my situation sounds much better 7. 3 times per week visit gym DONE, to accomplish it for this week (I start follow to goals in middle of week) I had to go to the gym every day for 3 days, my muscles are not much happy about it, but ... I have accomplish a goal! |

DONE, some spontanius wishes to get coffee, as yesterday was passing McDonalds, and feel smell of coffee, but in general no much interest, start drinking different type of tea, discovered that some herb team tastes good for me. 2. No Alcohol in any forms DONE, prety easily 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day DONE 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job This was saturday, so due to quoating I did during week end and completion all tasks (actualy one left but I will do it on monday), so I spend time with family and do sime minor things for my car 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) NOT DONE, still in pattern 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends DONE 7. 3 times per week visit gym DONE |

If you run, great, but your goal was just to get your shoes on each day to start to change the habit. Maybe in the time slot where you want to work out, you change clothes, and instead make it a goal to just do 2 minutes of stretching. Or maybe a jog up and down the stairs around your house a few times. Something that only takes you a couple minutes tops. You might find yourself energized, and end up doing a little extra every day. Good luck! Great job on the coffee...if you were on 15 plus cups a day and went cold turkey, thats a big one. | |

Great work! Sounds like you are enthusiastic about this, and sticking to your goals looks great so far. I second the notion above about maybe breaking up or revising your exercise routine. another idea could be to do 5 minutes of exercise 4 times per day... or even 2 minutes, 10 times per day... or if you want those solid 20 minutes, maybe you could work out a system with your wife where she locks you out of the house for 20 minutes when u arrive home, and doesn't let you in until you finish your exercise. Day 25, to toasterwater and emeadow, thank you for advises, little steps are not always good for me, as I am a person of very unstaible character and if smth unsignificant happen to me, mostly I forget and give up immidiately, so the only way I see for myself to change is have great, hairy, ambisious goals during full filling which I feel like a person changing his life... 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! DONE, almost no thinking of coffee. 2. No Alcohol in any forms DONE, pretty proud of it 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day DONE 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job Suggest as done, but yesterday was sunday, so I have spent all day with son and watching star track 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) DONE for yesterday, this is first time I did it 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends DONE, woke up at 4.00 7. 3 times per week visit gym DONE, did this morning, plan to be in gym on Mon, Wed and Fri. |

DONE, actually no much interest in coffee any more, believe problem of addiction was in my mind, so once I reset my mind on it, no problem any more 2. No Alcohol in any forms DONE, but shortly I am expecting business trip and some of my old friends will try to have some beer with me, looks like it's going to be a challenge for me 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day DONE, with pleasure, really enjoy this time 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job DONE, with minor deviations, need to be more strict to time management and start using timer. 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) NOT DONE, once I get home, I am getting fully relaxed and can't do any exercise, probably this is time when my body try to recover after long hard working day, start thinking that this is incorrect goal. 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends DONE, as usually wake up at 4.00 7. 3 times per week visit gym DONE, going tommorow morning If some one have any comments or wish to add couple supporting words I would much appreciate about it. Day 22, Another day for challange, once I been able to follow my plans for more than 2 days 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! DONE, no interest in coffee, just zero, no feeling of tiredness and unmotivation becasuse of lack of coffeine. 2. No Alcohol in any forms DONE, already wrote in skype to my friends, whenever I meet them no beer should be offered, other wise this will be our last meeting 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day DONE, really enjoy this time, one of the most motivating action for day. 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job DONE, need to enforce my time management skills. Problem in keeping log. 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) THIS IS NOT A TARGET ANY MORE. 6. Day 21, I am still on the way and amazed how I am changed with in this 9 days, I am already have a list of next things I am going to improve during next 30 days trial, and may be this will be a long list, like 20 items or even more, and include some trivial things like, do not eat ice cream at all, drink at least 8 cups of water, easy things, no need to concentrate all my passion and will power but once it become a habit in long term will be huge benefit. Ok, let's back to my goals 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! DONE, today I brought with me cocoa powder and going to make some chockolate. Some how I do not like taste of tea, I tried different types, drink with sugar and milk, still do not like it, let's try chockolate for a few days. 2. No Alcohol in any forms Easily done, smell of alcohol from others make my very unhappy, feel sorry for that people. 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day Getting more progress in it, doing my planning and only then having hot drink and some food for breakfast. 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job DONE, keep pushing my self on concentration over one thing only, yesterday completed really hard document that been waiting for weeks. 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) NOT GOAL ANY MORE 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends As all this day before, I was up by 4.00, extra hours in the morning is what I really like and helps me to make more things over the day. 7. 3 times per week visit gym This morning gym was closed due to some repairements, going to be there tommorow. |

Day 20, I am 10 days in row with my targets, also I feel improvement in other spheres of my life believe this is result of growing will power. 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! DONE, I have tried chockolate, taste good and I like it more than tea, but on my next trial I will be doing sugar restrictions and probably need to try something different, Plan today visit drug store and check for pure herbal teas. 2. No Alcohol in any forms - DONE, Yesterday My wife drink a bit out of can of beer I brought for her from Angola, then as usually happen she gave the can to me and said that she doesn't want and I can drink it up (what I always did) but yesterday I refuse, she was amazed and I loved that seconds looking in to her face. I am feeling serious to give away of alcohol for entire life, this is not difficult at all, just say No! 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day - DONE, yestrday I have review my long and medium time targets, I was thinking hard to express them properly and now they are huge motivation points for me, I want to read them again and again 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job - DONE Yesterday I have spent half a day on home and car fixes and half a day on family. 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) NOT GOAL 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends - DONE 4.00, that was a bit difficult, yesterday was busy day and looks like I did not sleep enough, but any way at 4.00 I was out of bed. 7. 3 times per week visit gym - DONE, I supposed to go today but moved to tommorow. |

DAY 15, this is the middle of my 30 days trial, apart of regular follow up on DONE for assigned tasks, I would like to share general expression. I lost around 2,5 kg of weight, with out special diets, My body changed shape a bit, but engough to become noticable, shoulders became wider, extra belly almost gone, I have set up short time, like one or two days tasks and just follow them since then, like I stop eating white shugar in original form, stop talking bad about people, became more patient. I never would do it with out believe that came to be with success of this 30 days trial log. I wonder if Steve Pavlina ever read such threads, could be good to see his comment here 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! - DONE 2. No Alcohol in any forms - DONE, I start hating alcohol because it makes people stupid, my friend asked me to bring to him bottle of tequila, I have refused as do not want to touch it any more. 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day - DONE, best time of the day 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job - DONE 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) - NO 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends - DONE, today I woke up at 3.33 am, and was absoulutely fresh and ready for work day, yesterday I feel to sleep by 9.20 pm. 7. 3 times per week visit gym, DONE - 15 days ago it was very very hard to go to gym, today my feeling like I want to go to there every day (and I will), I love all this mashines, fancy shower, sauna, pictures of bodybuilders. The best I can do now is to ask every one who never tried 30 days trial to do the test and start with whatever they want and amazing how life will change |

Day 13, today was extremely busy day, started at 4.00 am, now is 23.10 and just seat to write down previous day progress on my targets 1. Day 10, I am waiting for the end of this trial ... to start new one. 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! - DONE I do not want any coffee. 2. No Alcohol in any forms - DONE, I see in my sleep dreams that I am drinking, for me that means that my body overcoming this addiction (same was before with smoking), inform every one around that I am not drinking for entire life. 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day - DONE, have my timer on, other wise spending too much time. 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job - DONE, also with timer 5. Every evening 20 minutes on excercises (push ups, exercise bicycle) - NO 6. Every day wake up at 4.30, including week ends - DONE, as usually at 4.00am, this morning was very difficult as I had long day yesterday. 7. 3 times per week visit gym - DONE, was on monday, goind on Wed. |

Day 9, 1. No coffee, I can drink tea, water, juce etc. but NO COFFEE!!! - DONE 2. No Alcohol in any forms - DONE 3. Every day 1 hour planning, which includes daily update of this log also includes jurnaling of previous day - DONE 4. Spend 4 hours for primar and 4 hours for part time job - DONE 5.
