Lack of money is an excuse, there are many ways of getting the money?

Is hunting for a job the only way to get the money?

Do you really want to go back to school?

To what extend do you want to commit yourself to getting this money?

sure. try something less worthwhile while you're waiting for your divine inspiration. you can always quit when something perfect comes along and the experience might even be semi-educational.

Before you go back to school figure out what you want to do with yourself. No sense in paying all that money if you're not going to need or use the education you've paid for. Worse yet, you could end up going to school and realizing you studied the wrong subject and need to go back longer.

Find what it is that you love, and what it is that you want to trade your life to do. Then figure out how to do that.

Probably the greatest truth that anyone ever shared with me is that "you are the only problem that you will only have...and that you are the only solution that you will ever find.

My advice would be to look deep within yourself and to find out what you really want from your life and what you want your life to be about. On the surface it might appear that you have some issues but they sound very superficial (without wanting to be disrespectful)

Realize that everything that happened to you up until now is over. In fact it's as over as your birth or your second birthday or your first fix or whatever. The only thing that matters is NOW and what you are going to do about it. Your past does not define you!

I know my advice is not very 'practical' but, once your stop looking for answers outside yourself, you will start finding some real solutions. The answers are within you!

It seems that you really do not know what it is you want to do. Everything is a little vague - you kinda want to go back to school... looking for a job but nothing worthwhile has turned up. And you dismissed the psychiatric treatment. Is it feasible for you to undergo the treatment and go back to college? That appears to be the obvious answer - I am assuming your parents are okay to pay the fees.

Until you have thought things through you should stay at home with your parents in your comfortable, suburban home. Don't think about moving out just yet! I guess you have a decent education from High School - so college is optional. Perhaps you should see a careers advisor and talk through your options - do one of those questionnaires that churns out a list of ideal occupations? See what takes your fancy.

There are other options apart from academic education - you could try an apprenticeship or other work-based training course. And there are always home study courses where you can work and learn - okay maybe you work in a burger bar or stack shelves for a while, but you can learn a lot about people that way. It is all good.

Add some strings to your bow...
