When I spend all day at the library or book-store, I'm happy and inspired. When I go out to a friend's place, I'm ecstatic. When I'm at my house, life is meaningless and arduous. Is it me? |

Why is that? Is it cluttered, messy, boring? Is it the distractions that make you feel inspired? Those distractions are clearly things you like but is your home just a place which houses chores that need to be done? Whatever it is, what are you going to do about it? Can you make your environment more stimulating by a change in interior design or with a home library? What about the company you keep? Do you live alone? Can you invite people over and talk about how you'd change the world? |

It's the people that live with me in the house that are the biggest drag. I'm crashing with them for the time being. I'd just be bitching, if I went into further detail, eh. The thing that puzzled me is that I feel down, there, even when I'm alone or not interacting with the others with which I reside.

my home is not exactly what i want it to be...but at times it can be my comfortable fortress against the world change of scenery, where we see, do, and enjoy activities and company outside of our home can be a good thing. if i was in your situation i would focus on the fact that it is temporary, that i don't have to invest much time or concern about it, or even the people in it, if they are really not in sync with where i am at. be a good guest, appreciate the place to crash and know that someday you will have your own place |

I would agree that your physical surroundings make a difference. I know that over time if we have negative experiences in a particular area, our body begins psychologically/physically reacting to that stimulus Perhaps that's what is happening to you - even when nobody is there, your body recognizes the stimulus and "fights back" |

The house, perhaps because of your housemates, has become a mental and emotional drag on you. It could be the energy in the house, or your preconditioned reaction, but either way it's bringing you down. Is there some space in the house you could free up to be your space, perhaps your room or your outside? |
