Default Exam Preparations

If you could earn a degree in procrastination I would certainly be a professor by now. I managed to procrastinate for the most important exam I have to take to a degree that is beyond anything a sane person could ever imagine. To finally get my lazy ass up and running I decided to take the following measure:

Every day starting from today until the day of my exam I will donate €50 to the “Giordano Bruno Stiftung”, if I don’t manage to work at least six hours on preparing for my exam.

I'll post updates on my progress every day in this thread and on my newly created blog, so please hold me accountable for it.

You might want to use hakalau -- go into this learning state when it's time to study, and easily and effortlessly absorb your information at a deeply unconscious level and feel good while you're studying. Then also go into hakalau when you take your tests, and the learnings will flow back into your conscious mind, everything available when you need to access it.

There surely are, however I don't have the time to find out what they are, so I have to use the brute force approach. I also have a huge pile of negative emotions connected to this exam and the natural reaction of my subconscious mind is to move away from it. So this exam isn't a good candidate for testing at all.

Thanks for the tip, I just tried it and it worked nicely. I also combined it with Paul R. Scheele's “tangerine technique” to reach a state of relaxed alertness.

EDIT:
Day 1: done (worked 6 hours)

Day 2: done (worked 6 hours)

I’m pretty tired now and my attention and efficiency really plummeted at the end. I will try to start working earlier tomorrow.

Get a good sleep, 8 hours, drink plenty of water and milk, before sleep. Never read anything before sleeping. Good Luck! :)
