Hello For the past couple of years I have had to deal with severe procrastination, I have been stuck in a cycle that has been very difficult to get out of and it is ruining my life. The problem is i am very apthetic towards this and I find it too difficult to change. Some nights I have an ovewhelming passion to change but that simmers a down and dies as the days go by. The more I fail the deeper I go down the cycle. This has been a serious issue that I need to deal with. I feel like I have a weak mind and I can't change even if my life depended on it. I really need some kind of reminders or motivators daily so I can get out of this rut. I also need help with daily organization and goal setting, nothing too complicated though. I am looking for a daily remider/ritual of some sorts to help me stop procrastinating. I also have a bulletin baord I can use if someone has any suggestions. |

Sometimes, I think you have to actually stop trying for a while - maybe a good while - before you can see clearly what you really want to do with yourself. A system often isn't the answer. This may have nothing to do with your situation, but I'll just throw it out there.... How to Do What You Love Motivation for Smart People (Sans Chest Pounding) The Open Secret |

They way you can become motivated is to stop and look where you are in life right now. Think how has it helped you become more in life. I personally had and have times where i need to remotivate myself. Stop being average and become above average.

It helps to plan out your entire day the night before. Then just spend five or so minutes meditating and visualizing your entire day turning out perfectly. Do this just before you go to bed. While you sleep your subconscious will spend the entire night going over this plan. Then when you wake up spend another five minutes meditating and visualizing your day. You find find that if go through this process ever night you will begin to have far more productive and focused days.

I'm working on the same thing too. Taking action on my blog every now and then isn't getting me the results I want. So I want to get in that productive, focused mode daily too. I think the biggest factor here is momentum. That's why making the rudder of the day productive is so important. It sets the rest of the day up. In my opinion what helps more than that is what FazK said about envisioning the night before. It's easier to have a productive first hour if you know exactly what that looks like by envisioning it the night before. That naturally takes care of the first our of the next day. Also I think it's important to be aware that if you're talking about daily, that means we're trying to build a habit. |
