Default September Challenge - and holding myself accountable

There are a number of areas in my life that I would like to improve and put more of a focus on. I think I can do much better if I use this forum as a tool to hold myself accountable - as I've seen people do quite often on here! Here are some daily/weekly goals:
  • Wake up at 6
  • Grocery once per week on Sunday (wanting to eat healthier)
  • Workout 4 times / week
  • Read for at least 30 mins each day
  • Money - be smarter about where my money goes and stick to a budget
  • Eat breakfast everyday - and substitute water for coffee
  • Check my google analytics account only once per day

Some areas where I want to be more productive and hold myself accountable:
  • Job - want to do a better job of tracking exactly where I am spending my time
  • Start up company - same, track exactly where I am spending my time on this
  • Michigan Football blog - Post on average once per day
  • Find Inspiration Blog - 20 total posts for the month

So my plan is to keep this post open throughout the day and update as I complete things. I will post each night before I go to bed on that day's activity.

This is the first time I have tried a 30 day challenge - so I welcome any encouraging words!!!

Good luck, however I wouldn't suggest replacing coffee for water. That's like a double negative.

What's driving the Water to Coffee conversion?

Also, do you have anyone in real life that you can set up an accountability partner? I haven't found a replacement for a real live buddy who is willing to kick your butt when you deliberately screw up and help you when you merely fail. Will the forums really give you the sort of accountability you need when you fail?

Funny, I definitely wrote that backwords relative to the coffee/water. I'm trying to drink more water instead of coffee!! Also, I am working on an accountability partner.

Default Day 1

Day 1
  • Wake up at 6 - DONE
  • Grocery once per week on Sunday (wanting to eat healthier) - DONE
  • Workout 4 times / week - 1 so far
  • Read for at least 30 mins each day - DONE
  • Money - be smarter about where my money goes and stick to a budget - Taking this off the list I think - it's too general - I'm simply not going to spend ANY $$ if it's unecessary
  • Eat breakfast everyday - and substitute water for coffee - DONE
  • Check my google analytics account only once per day - I checked less than 5 times - an improvement

Some areas where I want to be more productive and hold myself accountable:
  • Job - want to do a better job of tracking exactly where I am spending my time - Did a poor job - trying again today
  • Start up company - same, track exactly where I am spending my time on this - Meeting tonight with business partners
  • Michigan Football blog - Post on average once per day - Will post tonight
  • Find Inspiration Blog - 20 total posts for the month - Will post tonight

DAY 2 - TO DO LIST - In addition to the above

Today's To Do List -
  • Find a timekeeper for start up business
  • Make at least 30 calls to commercial realtors (work)
  • Move office to the basement
