 |  About Not Being Cheap: a Pleasant Example
I've been meaning to gain an indepedent method of accelerated transportation (I borrow a family-member's bike, at the moment), so I splurged on a pair of aggressive inline skates. I could've gotten a $50-60 pair from Wal-Mart or something, but I got some solid-steel $~200 skates! I may have almost completely forgotten how to rollerblade, but it feels ridiculously good to have 'em! I splurged even more, on a return-policy (which my stinginess said to avoid); so I'm even covered in case the little bastards end up almost killing me. Once I regain my bearings, these bad boys'll be a boon to—BARRELFULL OF B-WORDS—my getting around on my own. Just felt like sharing, to brighten up somebody else's day. |
