Default Napolean Hill

Have you heard of Napolean Hill??? If not, google him. He wrote many famous books, one of them being, "Think and Grow Rich." Even though many self help and personal development gurus regard this book as the bible of self help, I learned an interesting thing about Napolean Hill. He died broke! This fact seems to completely contradict the concepts he talked about in his books. Does that mean his concepts weren't as valid as some may believe? Or does it mean that Napolean Hill died broke simply because he didn't apply these concepts?

Well yes, I even bought "Think and Grow Rich" but I stopped reading after a few chapters. Every time Napoleon Hill writes "get rich", it makes me think "I don't give a damn about getting rich!" And he really talk about getting rich a lot. I think getting rich is just a completely uninteresting goal! Besides, I am not so much into all that intention manifestation stuff. Although, I agree on the importance of aligning all thoughts and all feelings with goals.

I liked "Getting things done" better. Besides, I actually implemented that.

Hey Chris, how you doing mate?

I am a solid follower of Napoleon Hill. And the rewards are incredible if you put them to action..

Anyway, with regards to your definition of "Riches"... did you know he classed riches to consist of the following:

An interesting list from an influential man, Napoleon Hill.

* Positive Mental Attitude
* Good Health
* Harmony in Relationships
* Freedom from Fear
* Hope of Achievement
* Capacity for Faith
* Willingness to Share your Blessings
* Having a Labour of Love or Purpose
* An Open Mind on all Subjects
* Self-Discipline
* Capacity to Understand People
* Economic Security

Its not just about becoming a billionaire. You can be a hell of a lot richer than most just by having great health, loving relationships, etc etc...

Obviously, if you gave his masterpiece work a chance, and done a little background reading on Napoleon, you would know this. A key to success is keeping an open mind

Default The Law of Success

I highly recommend everyone to listen Napoleon Hill's " The Law of Success ( 16 Lessens ) audio program ". I got it free on the net somewhere.

Chris - Napoleon Hill talks about getting rich and successful, but it really isn't about just money. Give it a chance and read it through. You'll be glad that you did.

TheWinner - Absolutely!

Well amj the fact that you got about Napolean Hill is really shocking but what I can share from my experience is that the book Think and Grow Rich really helped me a lot to improve my financial status through my blogging venture. I applied all the principles given in the book and read the book for 8 times. I was able to see some drastic changes and the best thing is that I was able to see growth within 2 months...If you read the book with purpose it really works the best....Hope will work for all...

Cheers,
-Michael Dan

p.s. feeling really down that Napolean Hill went broke....

That's not true. Hill “died at age 87 on November 8, 1970, at his retirement home on Paris Mountain near Greenville, S.C., where he spent the last 18 years of his life.” (The quotation is from “Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised.”) His home was in an exclusive residential area, and he was extremely well off in his retirement after a decade-long collaboration with multi-millionaire W. Clement Stone, at the time one of the richest men in America.

Our ideas need the approval and support of providence, otherwise they will just be sand castles.

It doesn't matter if what you read of him is true or not, because it is a fact that some persons who are wealthy and who were the sources for methods of acquiring wealth do pass on in a bad way. Recently a very person named Maddof was up in prison for life. Wasn't he wealthy with jets and yatchs etc.

And some of those who pass on with great wealth were unhappy on the emotional and psychological levels.

I feel that if destiny is against your having wealth, your acquirement of it will cause unhappiness for you. It is more than just our ideas.

I think it's difficult to separate fact from fiction online. That doesn't negate the truthfulness of his teachings.
